Positive: Great bed, great pillows, nice folks, nice wait staff.
Negative: They blocked 900 dollars on my card - 300 for every night I stayed there. My ramp card has so many charges from this hotel that my administrative assistant thought that I was being scammed. Food is pretentious, boring, borderline silly. Only breakfast I had there I paid 30 dollars for some sunny side up eggs and a seven eleven bagel. Absurd, especially when you have so many good ingredients in the area. If you are going to charge 30 USD for breakfast it better be the best in the city. Not even the Thomson LA has these prices. All dishes have mandarines, dates, za´atar, halloumi, lamb shanks... I get it, its greek/mediterranean food, but cant you throw in a regular sandwich in there for when you feel like having something without olives? The pool is a joke; if you want shade, you have to pay 120 USD for what they call a "cabana", which is basically a dirty mattress with a busted fan and walls made out of fake folliage. I guess insanely loud reggaeton and tacky plastic plants are very popular in Greece, for some reason the hotel is covered with them. Staff is nice, views from the rooftop are great, but would not stay again.

Positive: Everything was clean and updated. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Armando was exceptionally helpful and friendly when we were packing up to leave.
Negative: There's a lot of construction going on right there, so it wasn't easy getting to the hotel or parking unless you use a valet. There's no shuttle available for nearby activities and shopping so we walked in the hot, rainy weather a lot to avoid the parking/construction issues. Not a reason to not stay here, just unfortunate.
Summary: Updated, clean, masculine style, great staff.

Positive: The room was very comfortable and the ambiance in the lobby is lovely. Any staff we met up with were very friendly. We liked the complimentary green apples on the accommodation floor.
Negative: We arrived after a long flight hoping to have a swim but there was a pool party going on with what seemed like 50 young people with cocktails and a band so pool time was off the agenda. The restaurant disappointed us - for breakfast my poached eggs were totally overcooked served along side cold toast (not just cooled down but stone cold as in perhaps it had been cooked a few hours ago). Given the vibe of the hotel I was surprised not to see any free range, organic, grass fed.... The dinner menu is somewhat limited in range. I had a fillet steak which was tasty but super expensive given it was not grass fed. Expensive pricing without the follow through.

Positive: I was extremely impressed with the front desk staff, I spoke to Shay who was the night time receptionist and she was very generous, polite and understanding to all my needs and requests. the hotel staff accommodated my special request for my partner superbly and surprised even myself. The suite was excellent and everything was so neat and tidy, my partner's reaction to the suite made everything worth it.
Negative: I thought the location could be better. The hotel is positioned just on the outskirts of central down town but you wouldn't know that in advance. I also think the facilities such as the bar and restaurant had inconsistent opening and closing times or perhaps it felt they closed too early.

Positive: Me and my Husband Loved everything. It was a very nice atmosphere the hotel itself is amazing. We plan on coming again and would recommend the Thompson to our family and friends. The food was Exceptional at the Moons Daughter's on the 20th floor. Valet Staff was on point. We had a Great Time!!!!
