Positive: Location was superb, and having the natural spring hot tub was perfect. A very comfortable place to stay and we certainly felt as though we were part of the landscape.
Negative: Nowhere to dry towels. A heated towel rail would have been useful but it didn't detract from the beautiful property and surroundings.

Positive: Quite isolated, with a view of Hekla on one side and the lake on another. You can see other houses but they are a fair distance away. Plenty of space in the rooms, plus a fully equipped kitchen. The outdoor always-hot natural spring hot-tub is a huge plus.
Negative: Access road is not in the best of states, but if you are doing gravel roads in Iceland you will be used to it. Fridge was full of stuff from previous visitors. We did not find anything past the due date, but we had to fight to find room for our stuff.
