Summary: We had a great time staying in this hidden gem. Loved the waterfalls beside the house. There was plenty of room for 3 families. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Photos of the history of the house was fascinating. We’d definitely come back in the future!

Summary: My wife and I stayed here with our three young children and had a ball. Lots of trails nearby to explore and the waterfall just out the back door is fantastic. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. The property is very well maintained and could accommodate a party much larger than ours. We'll definitely return.

Summary: We headed for a family reunion getaway in this picturesque vacation home. The online description doesn’t do it justice…it was even more beautiful than expected. The waterfall and creek were literally right out the backdoor. We feel asleep every night to sound of the waterfall and sat on the balcony in morning with a cup of coffee. The kids loved to climb on the rocks, wade in the stream or explore nature. Jones Gap state park was just a few miles down the road. Some fun hiking trails and my granddaughter liked feeding the trout. The Fall Creek waterfall was also nearby and a great hike…for the young people. We would certainly return and highly recommend it for a family gathering or for just a couple.

Summary: We were in Greenville for a 5 day baseball tournament played all over Northern South Carolina. Coming back to "Tuckaway" was always the best part of the day. The house is located on a beautiful piece of property up in the mountains, the creek and waterfall were flowing heavily, bringing with it the much coveted peace associated with the sound of water moving across the rocks. The house had plenty of room for everyone (3 dads and 4 boys), with the upstairs loft providing a retreat for the players while the dads relaxed downstairs. The 3 bedrooms are compact, but plenty of room to walk around the queen size beds to settle in for the night. That design allowed more space for the living area and dining room, which when not on one of the 3 decks, was the place we spent most of our time. The Weber grill is brand new and we cooked a lot of meals on it. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans and dishes we could need, and there were plenty of spices and condiments left by previous guests. With both a coffee pot (uses tapered filters, FYI) and a Keurig, the coffee was flowing each morning. We were very comfortable during our stay, everything was in great working condition. We could not have picked a better spot to spend 5 days in the area. Just a note - we had two small front wheel drive vehicles (RAV4 and Honda) that experienced a little bit of wheel slippage coming up the gravel road to the cabin each trip, but nothing close to getting stuck. My Jeep of course, handled it fine. :) You cannot go wrong renting "Tuckaway", and make sure you spend as much time on the decks as you can - they were the crown jewel of this hidden beauty. Matthew, our host, was responsive to all of our pre-arrival questions, he was one of the better hosts I have experienced on VRBO.

Summary: Loved the location of the cabin. The waterfall is in the backyard. Very secluded, but at the same time its close to an access road, and not far away from towns.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. It was a little far from wedding venue however. My daughter’s wedding was at Pretty place chapel. It was not to far from reception at Table Rock Lodge. It was nice coming back to after long day. Unfortunately we didn’t get to really hang out much at house. It did accommodate our whole family nicely.

Summary: We loved spending time at this mountain home! What a special place! The waterfall is truly right outside your back door and absolutely incredible. When we arrived, the home was clean and there were even snacks left out for us! The views were breathtaking - it truly allowed us to "get away" for a weekend. It was very private but we were able to get to Travelers Rest and Brevard very quickly. There was wood stacked right outside the door so we could enjoy a fire the whole time! We can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the swimming hole!
