2 Bedroom House in Galiano, Galiano Island

The home is 1400 sf, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. Large kitchen with sunroom, living room, dining area, master w/ queen, spare w/ queen + 1/2 bath, and a large bathroom w/ tile shower and heated floors.
The boathouse is converted into a boho style room with roll-up glass door, outdoor shower, clawfoot tub and lounging area. Perfect for workouts, yoga, meditation, or just relaxing and watching the waves roll in.
Pets are not permitted, sorry.
Swimming is great at the cabin. It is rocky, not sand. There is a ladder off the side of the pier. Water shoes are nice to have!
The property is our second home so please expect our personal possessions in the home. You are welcome to anything you forget (pantry, spices, etc).
The property is at the North end of Galiano Island and is 2 acres with lots of privacy. 15-minute drive to town where there are markets, dining, cafes, marinas, and more. Hiking nearby and a restaurant at Bodega Ridge Resort is only a 15-minute walk away.
Galiano Island requires a BC Ferries trip from Vancouver or Victoria, or a float plane. Having a vehicle on the Island is needed.

Summary: Very relaxing with amazing views. Whales can be seen from the deck!!! Galiano Island is one of my favorites in the Gulf Islands and the San Juans and this house is perfect.

Summary: The view is the best part. Absolutely spectacular!! As we stayed in the late fall, the fireplace was also appreciated. The location was easy to find, even on a dark rainy night. Google maps pinned the driveway exactly. Being up island it is a lengthy drive to most restaurants and shops - but for privacy and a base to explore hiking trails, this location worked very well for us. We stayed in a number of hotels and other cabins during our vacation, this was by far the most memorable.

Summary: Only disappointed with the boat house. We used it for the first night but then noticed a terrible smell and then discovered that the smell came from the portable toilet. So regularly empty would be nice. We decided not to use the boat house, which is a real shame. It is so a beautiful setting. Apart from this, the place is impressive, and the kitchen facilities are excellent for someone like me that do a lot of cooking. Thank you, Steve. My son said he would come back with friends.

Summary: We spent 9 lovely nights at this house. The deck was amazing with multiple sightings of orcas and a humpback whale. Although we could have just hung out all day on the deck, the house was located conveniently for biking and hiking. Direct water access for kayaks was best 1/4 mile away, with nice paddles either to Dionisio Point or Montague Harbour. The outdoor shower & converted boathouse were added extras. Really really nice!!

Summary: This is a lovely place to stay. We had everything that we needed - the kitchen was better equipped than ours is at home! It was very nice, but managed to maintain its 'cabin' feel so we didn't feel like it was too posh to be comfortable. The flights of hummingbirds were a real bonus. The cabin sits on a bit of a headland, so there are clear views of the ocean from two sides.
