Welcome to our beach home, Casita del Mar ("Little House by the Sea"). Our home was completely renovated in 2013 and is awaiting your arrival in Lavallette, one of the most family friendly towns on the entire Jersey Shore! Our property sits on a lagoon off of Barnegat Bay and has great outdoor space as well as a screened-in porch with a table for dining as you watch the boats cruise by. The lagoon is perfect for docking your own watercraft (up to 23'), kayaks, rafts, or swimming. And don't forget to try your hand at crabbing with some of our included crab traps from the floating dock!
Our home features an open kitchen/living room layout with all modern kitchen amenities and is well stocked for all your vacation needs. Our home has 3 bedrooms (Queen beds) and the living room has a fold out queen couch as well for a perfect getaway for a family or a group of friends. There are flat-screen TVs in every bedroom and the living room, and we include cable and wireless internet along with a complimentary Netflix account.
Central A/C & heat, a full size washer/dryer unit, an outdoor propane grill, and a NEW fully enclosed outdoor shower make your vacation at our home as easy as it should be. We’re just a quick walk to the beach, a children’s playground, ice cream, bakery, seafood market, and a liquor store and a few minutes from downtown Lavallette.
Our beach is wide and unspoiled with water temperatures averaging 75 in July & August, with a near daily afternoon on-shore breeze to make even the hottest days feel amazing. If you or the kids get tired of the ocean, just take a quick walk back to the Bay Beach for even warmer water to swim in and a modern playground to enjoy. And it is great in the spring and fall as well, with swimming in the ocean still pleasurable through the middle of October.
In the new era of raised homes with steep stairs and multiple floors, our home is refreshingly still at ground level and easily accessible for all members of the family.

Summary: I would definitely rent again. The house was cute with a great location. We walked to the bay beach, sat every morning and had our coffee by the water and were walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Summary: We loved our stay at the Casita Del Mar. Lavallette is a great town and the house is well located to enjoy everything it has to offer. The house was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our young nieces LOVED crabbing right off the back yard - the traps were a nice touch. We even caught a turtle (released of course). The screened in porch was perfect for meal times and game nights. And the outdoor shower was ideal coming off the beach. A big thanks to the hosts, Dave & Krissy for all the nice touches around the house and for being available the few times we had a quick question.

Summary: What a nice spot! The house is clean and inviting. The bay was great for kayaking, floating on rafts and crabbing. Loved all of the outdoor seating and 3 bedrooms were more than enough for our small family. We rode our bikes everywhere and was appreciative of all of the tips for food and activities in the nice binder left for you to use. We had a great family vacation!
