Positive: We stay in Lamai every year. It has the best swimming beach on Koh Samui. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very attentive in the restaurant and bar areas. Our room was attended to every day.
Negative: When we booked, we were told the works on the swimming pool would be completed before we arrived. They weren't. In fact, even when we checked out the pool was not ready to swim in. We had booked this property based on photos on the websites and other reviews. We were in one of the older rooms which need updating, but friends stayed in newer rooms and they were fine.

Negative: On day 5 of a 10 day stay a new disco opened up next door, opens at 10pm closes at 3pm , forget about sleep, the bass is so hetic the vibrations are horrible

Positive: Location is perfect. Best you’ll find in Lamai, no question!
Negative: The bathrooms ain’t great. The design of the bath means the floor always floods, they’re also quite tall to step into so if you have a mobility issue, you’re going to struggle. Also no elevators on property, so again if mobility is an issue you NEED a ground floor room.
Summary: Great location! Very nice hotel, but starting to show its age

Positive: Great location, friendly staff. We upgraded from the standard room to the superior room because it was too far from the pool and breakfast area. The hotel and swimming pool are stunning, If i had to stay in Lamai again I would choose the Weekender. If you can spend the extra cash choose the superior rooms.
Negative: The rooms are a bit outdated The shower was a bit of a mess with water spilling over onto the floor, removing the bathtub will solve the issue. There was a mouse in our room which caused a bit of an issue at 3 am in the morning. The staff tried to catch it but eventually moved us to another room for the rest of the night. We found mouse droppings on the table in the room the next morning. Please have a look at room 153.
