Positive: So beautiful. If ever you wanted to experience how local Japanese live in their own home, this it perfect! The home is appointed with Japanese architectural design elements and modern conveniences. Hosts were responsive and gracious. Helped us order bentos on our first night.

Positive: The house is absolutely wonderful and cozy. We watched films with the projector and listened to vinyl records of the Beatles. The host was friendly and replied super fast. Nagiso itself is a cute city, not a whole lot to see but a nice stop along the Nakasendo trail. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

Summary: Very beautiful accommodation! 100% would recommend!

Positive: The property is beautiful and well maintained. You can tell that the owners have tried very hard to create an experience and not just another place to stay. We loved our stay here and I wish we could have stayed longer to truly enjoy it.

Negative: We had a couple of hiccups that needed us to be in touch with this host/property manager more than I would like. But they were always responsive and very helpful.

Positive: Nagiso is a quiet town and when we visited most things were shut. The hosts did an amazing job of providing us with as much information as they could about local restaurants and shops. The host was willing to make us restaurant reservations as well as providing advice on cooking for ourselves. The property had a fully equipped kitchen including seasonings. The onsen style bathtub was very easy to use and was divine to bath in. While the property has no traditional TV the projector and screen made for great viewing of movies. The vinyl record player was also a nice touch. Couldn't find any faults.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: They style and quality of the accommodation, plus the location in Nagiso, giving easy access to the shops, restaurants and train station. Also very much liked the audio system, tv projector and access to Netflix and Amazon. Some very nice touches.

Negative: There really wasn’t anything to dislike.
