NEW LISTING (April 2023) Newly refinished apartment is full of natural light and offers access to both the front porch and our garden & pool oasis in the back yard. Both bedrooms in this traditional New Orleans shotgun home are fully separated by a hallway and doors for privacy. We are steps from Magazine St and one block from Whole Foods, shopping, cafes and restaurants. In addition, we are approximately a mile from Audubon Park and Tulane.
There are 11’ ceilings throughout (with a 19’ vaulted ceiling in living room), original heart pine floors, a front porch, a garden of citrus trees, a salt water pool, and a poolside seating area. In addition, we offer one off-street parking spot on our property.
The house is located within the first block off of Magazine Street, in an exceptionally popular area boasting unique boutiques, amazing restaurants and coffee shops!
There are two bedrooms: one king bedroom and one queen bedroom. Both beds offer brand new pressure-relief hybrid mattresses, luxury high count cotton sheets, and down-alternative pillows.
There are two full bathrooms. The first bathroom is accessed off the hallway. The second bathroom is ensuite (within the king bedroom).
(Also, please note the couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa with a queen sized memory foam mattress).
Guests can enjoy the front porch, the garden and the pool area (all outdoor spaces are shared by the owner and 2 year-round tenants in the apartment in the back yard). PLEASE NOTE: This property has a pool that does not include a 4-sided isolation fence so added supervision is necessary.
Our home has everything you need: central AC/heat, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer on-site, wifi, toiletries, laundry detergent, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, coffee, and tea. We even offer a juicer so that you can take advantage of the fresh fruit growing in our backyard garden!
In addition, we are pet-friendly. We have a Labrador in the adjacent apartment who frequently spends time in the shared backyard. Please inquire if you're interested in bringing your pet.

Summary: This is a beautiful home located in the best location. Great for a walk to a lot of restaurants and shops. The floors are beautiful, dark hardwood and the ceiling is high and very nice. We had a great stove to cook our Thanksgiving meal for my grown children who love in the area. My son did the Special Effects in the newest movie “Caddo Lake” and we watched it on the living room tv there together as a family for the first time since its release. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home.

Summary: We had a lovely stay in the two bedroom in Uptown. The house was comfortable, full of charm and character. The neighborhood is quiet, and there are some shops and places to eat or get coffee nearby. Our host had fresh fettuccine waiting for us, which was a nice treat after traveling. Excellent host and a beautiful house. Highly recommend!

Summary: We loved our stay at Jimmy’s place! The location is absolutely ideal - nice, family-friendly area but still lots of great spots within walking distance. Jimmy left us all the ingredients to make his family’s famous fettuccine Alfredo (including his freshly made pasta) and even brought us fresh shrimp one morning to add to our dish. We wanted to round out the meal with a salad and bread and Whole Foods is an easy walk up the street. The home is beautiful and gives you that real New Orleans feel with a lot of really cool memorabilia and antiques tucked into the decor. Our family made so many great memories in New Orleans and loved our stay. We would also highly recommend a quick walk to Octavia Books - such a perfect bookstore up the road! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jimmy!!

Summary: I had a wonderful time staying in this classic New Orleanian shot-gun. The accommodations were comfortable and homey, with inflections of important culinary and musical history. I also had the opportunity to host a dinner party in Jimmy's home and enjoy Jimmy's fine cooking and hospitality. To say this was a treat is an understatement. I highly recommend this offering and will look forward to returning.

Summary: Located right off Magazine Street. Antiques and NOLA decorations throughout. Spacious bedrooms and nice sized kitchen. Chef Jimmy provided us with homemade pasta that was delicious. Perfect! We will stay here again!

Summary: We booked this house to be close to Tulane University for my daughter’s move-in and found this local gem! Fabulous neighborhood and within walking distance to many popular restaurants, coffee shops and super cute boutiques! Most importantly the owners were communicative and helpful throughout. House was clean, well-appointed and had a large backyard and pool area. So glad we checked into this uptown charmer - you should too!

Summary: We had a wonderful time in NOLA. The neighborhood is wonderful with great little shops and restaurants nearby. Rental is near the zoo and the botanical gardens. Also an easy trip to the French quarter. This is New Orleans without the craziness. The bed and pillows are amazing and the master is a little cocoon great for sleeping in. It’s a wonderful spot.

Summary: I can't say enough good things about this home. My husband and I stayed here with our dog for our wedding weekend, and we have no complaints. The home is beautiful and steps away from everything you could want. Jimmy was so kind! He welcomed us with fresh made pasta and parmesan, as well as a bottle of wine. 5 stars!!!
