The wonderful amenities include a shared rooftop pool with a spectacular view of the Caribbean ocean, 24hr security, an elevator and a bicycle cellar.The condo building Mayalun was built in 2016 with all the amenities that turn a great vacation into the best time of your life. From the brand new orthopedic mattress to the kitchenette equipped with all you need to cook a delicious meal, my husband and I decorated the condo with the dedication and the experience of many years in the upscale tourism industry. The apartment consists of one air conditioned bedroom with a queen size bed, a large closet and a flat screen TV, 1 bathroom, a hallway with an additional closet, a kitchenette, and a living room with a flat screen tv, a dining table and a window with a partial view of the Caribbean ocean. Of course we will provide our guests with comfortable linen and towels. Some of the fantastic amenities we offer our guests are the roof top with pool and sun deck, the elevator that will make it so much easier to get your luggage up to the fourth floor, (but trust me, the ocean view from the rooftop is worth it), 24 hour security, a bicycle cellar as well as cable and wifi. The condo is located in an area that is non touristy, but still close enough to the night life, shopping and beaches of downtown Playa del Carmen. The apartment is 800 meters from the Caribbean beaches and two blocks away form the "New Quinta Avenida". Affordable and traditional bars and restaurants, a laundry facility and convenience store are a short walking distance away. The "New Quinta Avenida" has a bicycle path that will take you straight into the city center. Summary: This place was absolutely amazing; the location, you are just 1 block from 5th Avenue and 2 blocks from the beach. The roof top pool is also great. The communication with Julia was also perfect. I will definitely stay here again.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Julia and Eduardo’s condo. It was spotless and decorated in very warm colours. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They had a binder on the table for guests which informed us where to shop, eat, where the beaches were located and all kinds of other helpful information. The rooftop pool was great with a fantastic view of the ocean. The only suggestion we would have for the pool would be a little cover or umbrella for some shade. Our hosts Julia and Eduardo were really great always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this condo. Doris and Larry

Summary: This place is awesome!! Very clean and quiet! We were close to lots of restaurants and great eating places. We bought fresh tortillas from a place down the street for 10 pesos, enough for two meals for a family of 4. The rooftop pool with amazing view was a plus!! This place is close to the beach. The beach on this side was so nice a quiet compared to the beaches in the downtown. Julia and Eduardo were absolutely wonderful hosts with tips and suggestions! Highly recommend this place!

Summary: We loved everything about our stay in Julia and Eduardo's condo and can't wait to return! For us, the location was perfect. Close enough to all the action of la Quinta Avenida or the beach to get their easily by walking or biking, but still in a quiet residential neighborhood. The condo was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. But what really made the stay special was the hospitality of Eduardo and Julia. They were extremely knowledgeable about Playa and the surrounding areas and always available for advice about anything to do, see, eat, and experience. They made time to see us and were always immediately responsive to any questions we had despite being extremely busy. They were happy to make any extra efforts to make our stay as wonderful as it was. We already plan to see them again!

Summary: Playa del Carmen 5th Ave is where most people congregate all day long, if not at the beach or taking a day trip to numerous close by destinations. Our condo was perfectly situated out of the music and late night city noise, but only a short stroll away on the North end where 5th Ave expansion is headed. The neighborhood has its own sounds but the ones we prefer.

Summary: The condo was clean and equipped as per owner description. We used kitchenette for breakfasts only, it was too basic for any serious cooking. However there lots of restaurants nearby. We had few suppers with take out meal on rooftop. Loved to have bicycles available. Used to ride it to beach (best spot for us was Punta Esmeralda, about 3 km north) and to tennis courts. Eduardo and Julia were always available if needed and very helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again in future.

Summary: My daughter and I stayed 4 nights.. The apartment is new and in a secure building. We felt very safe walking in to town early evening, and took a cab back for about 60 pesos.The AC works very well. We loved using the bikes to get around Playa during the day. The rooftop pull in very nice.

Summary: Our hosts Julia & Eduardo were are top notch and always accessable. You can reach them by email or by telephone that is provided in the condo by them. And yes, you can call home (I called home to the U.S.) free of charge. Also It is very apparent they take great pride in providing there guests with a clean, comfortable stay. As is often the case, the place is much nicer than the pictures show. The AC w/remote worked great and was really appreciated after a long day of exploring. There are also ceiling fans in the kitchen & the bedroom. We enjoyed having free use of the two bikes which made getting up & down 5th Ave.quick & easy. There is also a dedicated bikeway on 10th Ave. between Constitution & Jurez. But remember biking in Mexico requires being alert. Probably the thing we enjoyed most was the rooftop patio/pool. It's where I had my early AM coffee and watched the cruise ships arriving when it was scarcely light. And again departing in the late afternoon. From there looking out upon the Caribbean and the sites and sounds of the Mexican neighborhood, was like seeing the heart and soul of Mexico. Although you are not in the middle of the 5th AV. action, you can get there very quickly via cabs readily available 1/2 block away on 10th for a mear 50 Pesos ($2.50). Or hop on the bike for a few minutes. Also you pay 40-50% less for your stay. When I return to Playa del Carmen I won't hesitate staying here again.

Summary: Eduardo was very kind & helpful. He brought us a wrench to adjust the bicycles. We parked our rental car on the street & had no trouble. Rooftop pool & seating was fantastic. Enjoyed chatting with other residents, some tourists, some ex-pats. The building was right in the middle of Mexican neighborhood. We felt relatively safe walking & cycling around. Somewhat noisy at night, barking dogs, music etc. Apartment was clean. Sparse kitchen gear, no corkscrew,lousy skillets, no napkins or paper towels, single hot plate .
