Positive: We were coming to NOLA for a wedding. Bywater was the perfect location. We could walk to the Quarter but also close to a bus stop when Ed wanted to travel farther. The home is very eclectic, some furniture appeared in movies and other items were antiques. We slept in a 4 poster bed which was very comfortable in what was once a living room with hardwood floors. The outside area was the best. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio. The host Michael was fantastic. He offered to build us a fine and told us about the history of the house. The house does need a few repairs but overall it was great.

Positive: The neighborhood was amazing with many local cafés and businesses. People were very welcoming and friendly. Our host Michael was extremely helpful and informative about the area and the property. The dwelling was full of historic charm, and the outside courtyard was a great place to unwind. Walking distance to the French Quarter and far away enough to be out of the congestion of the tourists. Stayed for 10 days (If I had stayed in the French Quarter area, I would have wanted out of there after a few days) and this will definitely be my go-to place when I come back to the area.
