Positive: The architecture of the Arcoiris is well-designed and tasteful. The décor in the rooms is relaxing. There are interesting and beautiful art objects throughout. The top pool deck was always comfortable in the shade and with a breeze. Jesus, who prepared the included breakfasts, is a gourmet chef. The hosts are attentive to all dietary needs. Humberto is a wonderful host, always watching out for his guests and willing to help with whatever we needed and efficiently assisted with arranging taxis and reservations for dinners and excursions. Not only that, he is a great individual to hang out with for conversations. We felt like we had made a friend. The location is ideal for the two of us who are seniors and interested in birdwatching. We had a beautiful view of the bay from our room, and we could walk short distances to good bird habitat. It is close enough to the center of town to walk, and far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. It is a very steep walk from the street level to the house and may be a deterrent for guests with physical limitations. For us, we appreciated the extra exercise to help balance all the good food we were eating.
Negative: Everything was excellent.
Summary: Fantastic two-week stay with new friends Humberto and Jesus, and we will stay there again.

Positive: Casa Arcoiris is an absolute treasure! From the moment we arrived, it felt like home—but with better views and zero chores. Humberto and Jesus are amazing hosts, always there when you need them, incredibly kind, and dedicated to making sure you’re treated like VIPs. The location is perfect—a peaceful retreat with easy access to the beach and good restaurants. Our room was spacious, spotless, and super comfy. But the real showstopper? That rooftop infinity pool! Jaw-dropping bay views, unreal sunsets, and great chats with fellow guests. And the breakfasts? Absolute perfection—different style of eggs, banana pancakes, fruits, juice, coffee... engaging conversations with Humberto and Jesus, and sunshine every morning... and the cherry on top: Mica's very entertaining kitty morning show :-) We wouldn’t change a thing and can’t wait to come back!

Positive: We had a wonderful experience at Casa Arcoiris. Our stay was truly exemplary. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. Humberto and Jesus's hospitality was exceptional, and they were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. It was evident that they have put a great deal of thought into every detail of the B&B, and the amenities provided were both thoughtful and convenient. The pool area on the top floor offers spectacular views of the bay and breathtaking sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, meeting new people, and the delicious breakfasts each morning. The huevos rancheros, banana pancakes, and warm sunshine will be sorely missed! We can't wait to return to Casa Arcoiris next year. Thank you again for making our stay so memorable.

Positive: The Casa Arcoiris is a magical place - not least thanks to its hosts, Humberto & Jesus, both of whom have the uncanny skill of turning a traveller's choice into a magnificent home-like experience. I was given a stunning room with a private deck & kitchenette (a stone iguana curled up on the sink), and a view of the ocean. I could see the Pacific without lifting my head from the pillow - and when I worked in the late afternoons, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful office, sunset and all. There was even outdoor lighting and an outdoor socket - perfect for writing & typing late into the night. Butterflies and birds by day, chirping geckos and cicadas at night. The room is tastefully decorated (not overdone) in Mexican style, with two calavera Catrinas watching over those asleep from a cinnabar wall recess. The shower area floor is lined with stones, two starfish perched on a sand-coloured wall. The room has everything one can ask for, refrigerator & hotplate to fast WiFi and sliding glass doors and A/C for the night. The property has a rooftop pool for communal use, with further gorgeous views of the bay - and of the hills on the other side, if you manage to get your eyes off the sparkling waters :) Breakfast was also a dream, with a different hot local dish daily, your diet restrictions taken care of. Jesus is a splendid cook. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach; this also means you are close to the ocean while well away from nighttime beach party noise. The chacalacas are the noisiest creatures around :) It's a gem - I can't wait to go back. Should have booked a longer stay.
Negative: There is nothing I would improve - just take account of the walk up a hill to get to the property (this is what keeps us away from the beach noise!); if not a fan of the stairs, be prepared for walks up and down to the rooftop pool and bottom breakfast area. This is no complaint - just information some may consider useful :)

Positive: The room had a small pool and dec right ourside our patio door. The view from there was lovely. The room was large with living/eating and sleeping area. WE appreciated the ability to do our own mini meals as well. The owner was very helpful with suggestions and telling us about the area. It was nice to meet the other B and B quests at brea_fast. Food was plentiful with fresh fruit and juice etc. It was close to Playa de la Ropa which is a great beach.
Negative: The hill up to the casa was good exercise but a bit difficult in super hot weather.
Summary: Very friendly place to stay with excellent view and close to the La Ropa beach
