Positive: Clean and spacious place, the kitchen have everything we needed
Negative: There was no hot water on our Arrival, we come from a long drive on picton so we expected to have a shower after the drive. We contacted the host, who we're able to fix the tank the same day at night, but he told us that the tank Will take a while to warm the water so we could take a shower only the day after. There was no compensation for this issue, we wanted to Book another night and we asked for some discount, but we decided later not to Book it, mostly because the host take a while to reply and also because there wasnt a real interest in compesate us for the incident. The rooms are nice, the beds have electric blankets but no heating in the place, so it can be cold at night. Also, we don't like the rules about rubbish. we understand that a place needs to be as clean as possible, but I Don't think we need to put the rubbish on the bins outside, this is the first time we have this rule in an accomodation. The small buckets on the sink are a Nice idea. Finally, when we came back from the accomodation we found a Lot of ants on the desk, it was weird because we didnt have food there, only a laptop It looks like the house wasnt well designed

Positive: Location was good and it was spacious. Cozy beds and modern interior. Quiet yet close to town.
Negative: It was very cold in the bedrooms as there was only one heat pump in the lounge area and an open stairwell. Some wall panels, better curtaining and blinds on all windows would help this. Hot water was not adequate for a family of five! Shower ran cold after not even 10 mins. Lots of random half used food items in fridge/ pantry including condiments that had mould on them.
Summary: Great location, tidy and modern just a bit more earth would would make this a lovely stay!

Positive: The apartment style property was great, we were only there for one night but I would happily stay extra nights. Lots of space for a family with everything you need to cook meals and wash clothes etc. I think it was good value for a family especially with teens. It wasn't as central as some of our other Christchurch accommodation, definitely good if you have a car, but we were also able to make a very short walk to a local pub & convienance store etc. Good communication with owner and picking up keys etc. even if they weren't in country at the time.
Summary: Cheap and Cheerful, would stay again.
