Positive: Great location, attentive staff, fantastic food. It was wonderful to see so many crocodiles in the lake next to the pool. We were also visited by monkeys which was great to watch from the lodges.
Negative: It was very difficult to meet with the travel agents to organise safaris or the walking tour (they were out on either a morning or afternoon safari each time we tried to speak to them - during dinner seemed to be the best time). However we were able to organise a safari through our taxi driver so this was not an issue. It would have been nice to have had some form of entertainment (especially for the kids) when not on safari, such as a pool table, table tennis, gym, spa etc as there is little to do here other than go on safari or relax by the pool.

Positive: Amazing hospitality by the staff – they went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. As a vegetarian with specific dietary restrictions, I truly appreciated how every meal was carefully prepared to suit my requirements. The word “No” simply didn’t exist in their service. A special mention to chef Nandana, who took excellent care of us and made sure we were well fed. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re planning for a safari in Yala. The hotel itself is in the middle of the natural reserve.

Positive: Great location, the lake just by the hotel was full of incredible animals and the staff was very knowledgeable and explained a lot . The pool was beautiful .

Positive: You can see a lot of animals without leaving the resort. Great pool, amazing choice at the Buffet restaurant. Really nice people work there. Really close to the NP entrance.

Positive: Absolutely stunning property. Great location in Yala, right near the national park. The buffet dinner was delicious and had a huge array of food to cater for all dietary needs. The staff were also super lovely and helpful.

Positive: The lake and wildlife are stunning and the pool is brilliant. Rooms are also clean and well kept. Welcomed when we arrived, staff always friendly and the premises are also kept very clean.
Negative: Check in was very slow. The food was okay but not a lot of variation, largely the same every day and primarily local cuisine. Flat white coffee is the only place on our travels round Sri Lanka where it was drinkable - thank you!!
