Clam's End cottage is on a quiet dead end street, near the East end of Clam Lake and the Grass River area.
This cute recently remodeled cottage has a large open kitchen/living room area with cathedral ceilings, skylights, stone gas fire place all over looking the lake. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 6.
The waterside deck allows you to sit out and enjoy the wildlife and boats!. Bring your boat or rent one and keep it tied up on the dock. Don't forget about the great fishing on Clam Lake & the surrounding lakes.
Just a short boat ride into Torch Lake, or Lake Bellaire. Located between the quaint towns of Alden (on Torch Lake) and Bellaire (home of Short's Brewery) Enjoy shopping, dining and world class golf courses. Just 1 1/2 hours north is the Mackinaw Bridge ..drive across it or take a ferry and check out the Island. This and so much more is within your reach!! This cottage lets you be within reach of it all it's just a matter of what you choose to do. Summary: As listed. Had to kill a few ants every day. Clean. Parking limited. Not good for swimming at the dock. Otherwise nice place

Summary: Easy rental process, cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Coffee by the lake in the morning, short boat ride to torch lake, fishing off the dock, campfires at night, wish we could have stayed longer!

Summary: We were so happy with Clam's End. There wasn't anything we didn't like. The outside space was great. Loved the firepit and the chairs around it.

Summary: Great place. We loved the easy access to our boat. We would stay here again and we would also recommend this place to others. Things we did not like: Check out time is too early, 9:00. There was a lot of big black ants all over the deck.

Summary: Beautiful location and cottage. Do not let the small size scare you, this cottage has a great open space and is way roomier than other larger places we’ve stayed. The view is to die for and it is so private and quiet. We enjoyed campfires every night and calm views of the lake every morning. Perfect in every way and cannot wait to come back! Thank you for sharing your fabulous cottage with us!

Summary: Clams End is at the far end of Clam Lake. I could not give it a 5 on cleanliness due to the situation of the yard that the property owner has no control over. All water fowl use it for their restroom! From a pair of muted swans to 25 plus geese. The swans are very protective over their cygnets, and will chase you back to the deck if they are close. We also saw an otter, loons, and a northern water snake who hangs out at the property. He likes to stretch out in front of the dock or curl up along the banks edge. They are harmless but watch your step. You will not see this amount of wildlife on Torch. The cottage itself was clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. It does not have a dishwasher , but we don’t have one in our own home, as I dislike them. So no big deal. The bathroom is updated with a stackable washer and dryer which allowed us to pack light. The main bedroom’s door is tied open. If you are traveling with friends, this would not allow for privacy, but with family it was fine. We were told it is to keep the room cooler. If you are bringing a boat, make sure and inquire prior to your arrival where to park your trailer. Parking is limited but accommodated our big truck. If your boating, take some time for a leisure ride through Grass River over to Lake Bellaire. If you are looking for jet ski rental or ski boat rental, use Butch’s. They were very nice and it was convenient. Enjoy.

Summary: Cabin interior has been updated and very nice. Excellent all water sports location with adequate dock space for watercraft. Loved waterside fire pit. Very peaceful location with much wildlife. Looking forward to staying at this property again in the future.

Summary: Very clean and nicely updated cottage, the lot is very private with empty lots on each side of it, perfect getaway for quite relaxed vacation and centrally located between torch and elk lake and lake Bellaire chain of lakes, will definitely be back
