Summary: Great location in quiet neighborhood, near trails, beaches, and restaurants. House is well equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds and couches, nice TVs, grill and hot tub. Bonus if you like wildlife, we loved all the bear sightings. Local Vacasa support was great if we needed anything.

Summary: We really like this place; its wonderful! Upon arrival, we found it nice and clean. Our lockbox checkin was smooth. It’s a really nice place; everything is very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The hot tub was ready to go. We would definitely come back. The photos are accurate. The couches and beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with many pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, and silverware, and plent of other dodads. We did make use of the pyrex food storage containers we brought, so we could use them to warm up leftovers, as we did all of our own cooking for every meal. The hot tub is fairly new, sparkling clean, and ready to use upon arrival. The shower water pressure is excellent. It seems like an older home, and yet everything was in perfect working order and nice and clean. The lights don’t brighten up the living room as much as some might like, so I would only suggest maybe they add some brighter ceiling lights. There were many soft towels: 4 per person… can’t beat that! Wall decorations added to the very cozy feeling. Whoever decorated did a very nice job. The location is really nice. We biked the path to Pope and Jameson beaches. We took kayaks from Jameson beach to Baldwin Beach (marsh is closed to kayaks this year). We biked to Valhalla and Tallac (parts of Tallac are closed). We made a reservation at the horse corral and had a lovely ride! We went to Fallen Leaf Lake for deep shade on the hot days. We always find our way to the Camp Richardson Icecream Shop, about 10 feet from the bike path. One thing to be aware of is that while Lukins Way is a nice quiet street, the backyard is on a much busier and noisier street with regular loud traffic and some loud street maintenance sometimes. This makes the backyard a little less relaxing, but it all quieted down by the time we wanted the hot tub each evening. In the meadow just a short walk west of the home, we saw a bear! That meadow also has a tire swing. So many bunnies, squirrels and chipmonks! We also saw many woodpeckers, stellar jays, robins, Canadian geese, blackbirds, crows, gulls, magpies, chickadees, margansers, a tanager, and 2 osprey! So many wildflowers: fields of lupine and mule’s ear. Tons of columbine, pussypaws, sierran woodbeauty, yarrow, snow plant, warrior’s plume, stickseed, penstemon, wild rose, and allium; a photographer’s dream. We would definitely come back; we had a wonderful stay here.

Summary: Location! Quiet neighborhood and thank you John. Could not find dishwasher soap so washed dishes in sink but could not keep water in the sink so used more water then we wanted. Very comfortable and beds were wonderful. Cooked every night in the cabin and Bbq'd - so easy. Nice, large new ? upstairs walk in shower. Thank you for being "dog" friendly - she appreciated it and so did we.

Summary: This cabin is charming, with all the necessities needed to stay away from home! The beach is maybe a 5 minute drive. Loved spending the weekend at the beach and coming home to this cabin nestled in the woods. The master bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve EVER slept in. We will definitely be returning to this charming cabin!

Summary: We had an excellent time staying at this property- It was exceptionally clean (important in post COVID world) and stocked with fresh towels and linens by the properties housekeeper, Marta. Huge props to her. Can confirm that the hot tub is excellent, was definitely great to come “home” to after exploring the Tahoe area during the day. My only advisement would be- If you’re planning on cooking, make sure you buy everything you’ll need, as the fridge comes empty and the in-house seasonings are pretty light. The appliances and cookware work just fine otherwise! We really enjoyed grilling in the backyard.

Summary: The cabin itself was adorable. Plenty of space for me and my two friends, loved the backyard deck, hot tub, barbecue and the rooms! Centrally located so there's easy access to grocery stores, freeway, the casinos and heavenly shopping center and lots of good places to eat and drink. While the property manager employees were nice enough on the phone the customer service was still an issue. One of our first nights there, a technician shows up unannounced following up on service call to check on the satellite connection made by either the owners or the property manager but we had just walked through the door from a long day and didn't want someone tinkering around when we wanted to sleep. We found this odd that no one informed us of this in advance, so we just asked that he contact the property manager and arrange to come back another time. The next irritating issue was that the owners arranged for a new refrigerator be delivered during our stay, which made for a SECOND disturbance. The property manager at least called to let us know about that one but we're private people that really didn't want to be bothered but apparently the owners can't plan ahead to have maintenance and deliveries scheduled without occupants being there. Just wasn't the experience that we wanted.

Summary: We had a great week staying at Foxglove. The house is a true cabin with the look and feel. Squeaky floors and all, which we didn't mind. It was probably one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. We had plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a great size. The shower and water pressure were a big plus. The hot tub was great! (The lock was broken when we got there though). The kitchen had everything we needed and the dishwasher was a real help since we ended up cooking more than planned. I gave it 4 stars because of little things that could be done, like better kitchen towels. We had to wash and dry the only two offered so we could have clean towels. Also, the cable offered was pretty limited. We ended up staying inside more than planned because of the weather and were a little disappointed in how few channels there were. Finally, one of the beds squeaked, a lot. I'm a restless sleeper and kept my husband up with all the tossing and turning and squeaking. I ended up sleeping in the other bed with our daughter so we could all sleep. We would definitely stay here again and had a great time.

Summary: This cabin is probably better for a winter ski rental than summer. Very little natural light in the downstairs, the yard is just dust, and the back porch is pushed up very close to the neighbors who have two big dogs. The carpet needs replacing and the overall feel of the house is tired. I could see the value though in terms of the hot tub and fireplace in winter and when you don’t want to be outside in the yard because it’s covered in snow. Probably better places though in terms of value.
