Summary: We stayed mid May and upgraded to the Gold package. Very surprised that the room wasn’t any more special than a regular room. It was on a lower floor than what they were going to give us for a regular room. The Gold lounge food could have offered more hot options for appetizers. Overall the value wasn’t there at over $850/night, even though it is a special place. We did it once likely never again there.

Summary: We went to Banff to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the hotel was nothing less than excellent. From the valet staff, bell staff, front desk staff, house keeping staff, everyone was so prompt and tentative, the best way to describe it was “top tier” but the best part was the VIP concierge team. They were all next level and on their game. From making reservations at the hotel restaurants and spa to scheduling baggage pickup and just being friendly, it made the trip that much better. our room was even upgraded to a suite prior to arrival and it was incredible. The spa was excellent and relaxing and the views were beautiful. Staff at the restaurants were tentative and made us feel special. Overall, the staff made our trip even more memorable. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the area.

Summary: The Fairmont Banff Springs is amazing! I can't think of one thing we didn't like. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the property was beautiful and well kept, the restaurants and bars were great. If you have the opportunity to reserve a Fairmont Gold room I would highly recommend it. We really enjoyed the breakfast and evening spreads served in the Gold lounge. But one of the most memorable parts of our stay was floating in the outdoor heated pool as it was snowing.
