Kitchen
Generous size and very light and airy with wide view onto dunes. Fitted with all appliances inc electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and slow cooker. Table and chairs to seat 4. Back door leads out onto the dunes!
Back through towards the Lounge and on the right are the stairs. They are steep, due to the age of the cottage but have handrails on both sides and are carpeted.
Front bedroom
Two lovely metal framed single beds, wooden floor, arm chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside tables, feature fireplace and a window overlooking the front garden.
Back bedroom
A lovely place to wake up in the morning, sitting up with a cuppa and enjoying the view over the dunes! A comfy solid oak kingsize bed, wooden floor, bedside tables, wardrobe, chair and chest of drawers.
ALL ABOUT THE OUTSIDE:
There is room for one car on the off road parking outside the cottage shed. Parking for an extra car may be found round the corner on the residential road. Entrance is through the gate to the small front yard. The surface is shingle and decking with seating, coffee table and parasol so you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine. It is fully enclosed with 6ft gate and fencing all round. Very secure. Lovely seaside themed decorations here too and little bit of greenery.

Summary: The cottage was so clean, comfortable and well appointed, it was a proper home from home. And if I could give 6 out of 5 for location I would have done. You only had to open the back door and you were on the dunes, which led down to the stunning Winterton Beach. The owner was so lovely and helpful too, and went the extra mile to make sure our Welcome Box was perfect for us, as we both need a special diet. The dogs loved their Welcome Box too, with it's toys and special treats. I would definitely recommend Hidden Gem to anyone who wants to take their dogs on a special holiday.

Summary: This was our second, and most definitely not our last, visit to Hidden Gem. The cottage is warm, cosy and very dog friendly with lots of lovely walks direct from the back door over Winterton Dunes. Great location for a short walk to local shop, pub and fish and chips. A lovely cottage and already can’t wait for our next visit!

Summary: Hidden Gem was everything that I could have hoped for in a holiday home. The location was perfect, the cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and bright. The village was friendly with a great pub, fish and chip shop and local store.

Summary: Everything you could wish for for both humans and dogs( Norfolk water pressure not withstanding!) I’ve been coming to winterton for years now and I’d count this as one of my top two places to stay. Right on the dunes you can hear the sea at night and the birds in the morning, bliss! All credit due to the owners for such a lovely property

Summary: All the little touches is what made this cottage one of the best for stays with dogs. Fresh produce for humans, including some gluten free mince pies for me. Milk, tea, coffee and bread all provided. Christmas decorations up made a welcoming touch when we arrived! A basket with treats and toys for the dogs! Cannot recommend highly enough! This is our 6th stay in one of East Ruston properties and we will be returning again and again! Fabulous!

Summary: Nothing more to say other than it surpassed our previous stay and gave us everything we needed to relax and enjoy. A truly dog friendly and welcoming property in a great location with hosts that care and love their house just as much as we do for our week. Nothing short of perfect.

Summary: First I found a beach, then I looked for a dog friendly place to stay, then I found Hidden Gem. And what a find that was. We were blown away by what this cottage had to offer us and our 2 dogs. Yes, they're allowed on the sofas, yes they're allowed on the beds. Our dogs were welcomed in a way other 'dog friendly holidays' have not. Bowls, spare leads and guest dog tags, doggie first aid kit, the list is endless. And did I mention, out the back door and the beach is just over the dunes. Out the front door and just up the road, a lovely dog friendly pub. We had absolutely everything we needed, Laura and Pete have thought of everything. Best holiday ever, thank you.

Summary: Had a lovely time at the hidden gem. Cottage had everything we needed for our holiday. Perfect location for everything, so close to the beach and other amenities. Owners very helpful and nice. Couldn't ask for more .
