Summary: Even though it rained during part of our stay this beautiful 14th-century home was still absolutely perfect. The cozy atmosphere, historic charm and ideal location between the river and the castle made it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. The home is tastefully restored and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the garden terrace...it felt like a hidden gem in the middle of the village, perfect for sipping wine cheese/bread.Rain or shine, this place is a dream. Quiet, comfortable, and full of character. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the magic of Beynac.

Summary: Beynac is a great central location for visiting the "plus beaux villages", and Frédérique is a very good host. Only caveat is that Beynac is a medieval village clinging to the side of a hill - the buildings are old, stone, a bit musty, though with lots of character, and quite a steep walk up a no-car cobblestone street.

Summary: Nice location in the lower village of Beynac very close to the Dordogne River. Everything went very smoothly with the stay including the housekeeper helping us pull our luggage up the hill to the apartment. The apartment was well equipped with appliances, cookware, and consumables. The only issue occurred because we did not receive instructions regarding the procedure for checking out.

Summary: This quiet, clean, compact and comfortable home in the heart of the lovely medieval village of Beynac provides a great base to enjoy the Périgord Noir. Excellent bed, one-and-a-half small baths, and a beautiful new kitchen. Owner Frédérique established exceptional communication and was very responsive to our questions. Her assistant Martine provided much thoughtful assistance: purchasing a long-term parking permit before our arrival, helping us move into the home, and offering dining and recreational tips. Together they were a congenial, professional team who met all scheduled rendezvous. The narrow, mostly pedestrian lanes of the village can be steep in places, but we grew accustomed to the climb and decent, and the views of the serene Dordogne valley were wonderful. Highly recommended.

Summary: An unexpecdedly calm and very nice residence in the center of Beynac, this apartment is in an ideal position to explore the town and the most impressing surroundings such as Beynac castle or the Dordogne and Vezere rivers. We had a very pleasant stay. Thanks a lot to Martine for her help!
