I fell in love with this heavenly place so deeply , that I decided to buy an apartment here. Newly refreshed September 2021. Welcome to my charming Kaua'i home. From the walkway in front of my lanai, which overlooks the pools and has an ocean view, it is 150 paces to the sand of the beach.
The location is mesmerizing. A short 2 1/2 mile drive from the airport, you turn 'makai', ocean side, through a quarter mile arched arbor of banyan trees and enter the oceanfront world of the Kaua'i Beach Resort, a richly remodeled 4 star resort.
Here are just a few of its wonderful features:
*A priceless view of clouds and waves as they roll in from the ocean.
*Spectacular sunrise and pacific moon rise daily from your lanai.
*Simmons Beautyrest King firm mattress with motorized adjusting platform. High end cotton or Cariloha bamboo sheets.
*Full bathroom appointed with travertine stone and granite top vanity.
*LG 42" TV with local and expanded cable channels.
* Trane central A/C throughout the Resort
*Magic Chef refrigerator 4.5 cu.ft., for your vegetables, fruits, beverages and ice cream.
*Tommy Bahama folding beach chairs and cooler for day trips.
* Keurig coffee maker and a variety of coffee pods
*In-room safe, ironing board and iron.

Resort use and access amenities include:
Front Desk and Bell Desk check-in services.
Wristband identifiers allowing you access to: the sand bottom beachfront pool, supervised 75' corkscrew pool slide, swimming pools with waterfall features, a water volleyball pool, two heated spas in grotto areas, outdoor tiki bar and lounge and, of course, access to a 3 mile sand beach and ocean.
Access to the resort's restaurants, bar and lounge, beauty spa, hair salon, workout room and gym, high speed wi-fi internet access throughout the resort and your apartment, a sundries and convenience store with a Starbucks franchise and ATM, a desktop computer access business center (if you must), concierge services for resort and island dining and excursions and tour reservations. (Strongly suggested! You must have reservations for the popular restaurants and tours available on the island).
For Clarity:
An Administration fee for front desk services and enhanced security services of $105 per stay is included to your payment to VRBO.
A cleaning fee of $125 is included to your to payment to VRBO.
There is a parking concession of $40 per night with+ tax, payable to the Resort by you at check out.
All your personal charges for activities, parking, food & beverage service, dining and pool amenities, group resort classes, et cetera are payable to the Resort by you at checkout.
Smoking... of any kind, is prohibited . Smoke in the designated outdoor areas only.. There is a $200 to $500 cleaning charge to remediate smoke odor.
The Resort apartments are not designed to vent cooking fumes. Cooking in the room is a fire code violation, subject to nuisance eviction.

Summary: The complex, grounds, and the unit are nice. We had everything we needed, including beach chairs and other assorted beach equipment. The bed was comfortable. The host was very helpful. Be aware, this area of the island is very windy & the beach is not for swimming.

Summary: My fiance and I wanted to stay near Lihue so that we were central to all of the amazing sites of Kauai! This was a stunning property and we loved staying here! Harold was wonderful to communicate with ahead of time and gave us many wonderful suggestions that we took advantage of! The room was beautiful and very clean. It was perfect for our stay and we would absolutely stay again!

Summary: This was our first time stay at this place for 2 weeks in Jan 2025. Our host was very helpful and responsive. The unit has a lot of extras accessories (beach chairs, coffee ,etc). The unit is nicely located in the complex Staff at the resort are really nice and 3 restaurant options to choose from Compared to other places this was a good value place and very convenient from/ to airport after a long flight . Only issue is 40 us per day parking cost Which seems very high . However other places who have free parking likely hide it in their resort fees so all things equal good value place we only rented car for 5 days in our stay so that could be an issue for some as your you can’t really walk to any shopping easily As advertised , in suite cooking options do not exist but we got by with good sized fridge and made it work . Summary: This condo was exactly as it is advertised! Great view from balcony of pool area and ocena. Room was comfortable, and the refrigerator was good sized with a separate freezer compartment. The bed was comfortable, and the room was great for a vacation. There were plenty of towels and amenities for a short term stay. The resort is excellent with 4 pools, an outdoor bar, activities (lei making, hula class, ukulele lesson) and there are several "happy hours" every day. Check in was excellent, and even though the parking is somewhat expensive, we used the valet parking and it was great (also same price as self-park). The property owner is outstanding, and was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. The property is less than 5 minutes from the airport in Lihue, and we loved the location We would return to this condo any time we are back in Kaua'i.

Summary: We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! The resort itself was beautiful with super friendly staff. We spent a ton of time in the pools and hot tubs, woke up to see amazing sunrises at the beach, and were happy to use the gym and gas grills on site. The unit itself was super clean and the bed & pillows were super comfortable. We loved the view from the balcony and really appreciated that the host provided two beach chairs and a couple coolers for us. The host, Harold, was super communicative and even gave us great advice about the island. This location was super convenient, as it was centrally located between the north and the south sides of the island and had plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Highly recommend!

Summary: Our stay was amazing. The place had everything we were looking for - central location, great pools, and above all else, a beautiful view! The room waa well stocked with coffee, beach towels and chairs, and even a boogie board. Harold was great to deal with throughout the process and outlined everything in detail. Check-in was a breeze and not much different with his vacation rental as would be checking in as a hotel guest. Highly recommended!

Summary: Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We've been coming here for years. It's our "Go-To" resort on the island....in fact, we were married here a few years ago. Beautiful grounds with a lovely pool area and located right by the ocean. Although, be aware....swimming on this beach isn't recommended due to possible undertow currents and "man-o-war". There are plenty of other beaches on the island that are safer. Refer to local guidebooks for suggestions. As for this particular room where we stayed Aug 2024, Room #3306---If you like an EXTRA FIRM, king-size bed, mounted on a board (no box spring), then this room is for you! Go for it! But if you would like to have, IMO, a more comfortable night's rest, there are plenty of other units at this resort to choose from. I highly recommend discussing the comfort level of the bed with the owner before deciding on any rental. Despite our host being relatively attentive, "It is what it is" with the bed and he can't change that. Also, if you're a coffee lover and you're hoping to brew your favorite cup in the room, be aware that the "in-room coffeemaker" is a Keurig, not a drip coffee maker. Other than that (and a couple of other missteps I won't mention here), the view from this room is great and although it's right over the pool area, the noise level is manageable. We loved having our morning breakfast on the balcony, which makes it all worth any inconveniences you may encounter. Aloha!
