WHY WE PICKED TURKS AND CAICOS: Since I was 12 I made it my quest to find the world's best beaches. I told everyone I'd have my bungalow by the ocean with tons of palm trees. I've been to some gorgeous ones, from Maldives, Cook Islands, Bora Bora and beyond. When I married I told my husband retirement included warmth, turquoise water and palm trees. After traveling the world, I found Grace Bay Beach to be the one! I never get tired of those gorgeous neon hues!

Pack the cooler and find your own secluded stretch of Leeward/Pelican Beach and search for giant conch shells. Enjoy happy hour at the pool tiki bar with palm thatch roof before heading out to dinner. Barefoot Palms is casual and laid back yet elegant with travertine tiles, granite counters and stainless steel appliances.
Every room has soaring high cathedral ceilings and open living space. The huge master bedroom has a king size bed , walk in closet and writing desk area. 2nd bedroom has king, 3rd bedroom has queen; great for families or 3 couples. Each bedroom has its own TV, Cable and DVD players. There's access to Netflix and YouTube. Individual A/C units in each bedroom and the rest of the house has central air.
A/C $30 daily is included, should you go over you only pay the difference at cost
The open kitchen/dining/living rooms will have you cooking eating and entertaining with all utensils and an extensive movie library. There's a Bluetooth Soundbar for music and recent best selling books for reading enjoyment on the beach.
There are small tropical touches throughout with Tommy Bahama furniture, palm tree and shell cabinet handles, and colorful fish switch plates.
It's hard to break away from the huge backyard patio with a pool and the best feature, a tropical tiki hut bar!

Summary: Beautiful property very clearly well kept. Walkable to beaches, quiet wonderful neighborhood, perfect backyard with a grill, loungers, couches, tables, umbrellas, pool, and laundry room. Owner, Ramona, so helpful, responsive and just a sweet gal ready to help if needed. The kitchen well equipped with quality pots and pans. Only thing I didn't have was a meat therometer but absolutely not a deal breaker. I would stay again and again. Driving anywhere on the island is not far and fun to explore. I liked being on this far end of the island made it feel so homey and not touristy. Beach not crowded and very clean and quiet. Best of the best!

Summary: The best way to explain this house, is not to picture a rented home, but your best friend letting you borrow their beach house. Everything was perfect- the spacious rooms, the comfy beds, the relaxing pool, and everything you needed was there. Ramona made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to cook, grill and store all of the food we purchased. None of the furniture was a mismatch hodgepodge like most rentals...this house had beautiful, comfortable furniture and heavenly bedding. All of the beach chairs were like new and all of the beach towels we needed were there. Ramona checked in several times before we left to ask if we needed any recommendations for restaurants etc and it made the stay awesome. This house was one of the highlights of our stay and cannot reco it enough.

Summary: This property was everything we wanted and more! The location was perfect and the pool was amazing to come back to after being at the beach all day! Very clean and well stocked, the beach chairs, towels and umbrellas they provided were awesome for beach days. What a beautiful place, we will definitely be back!

Summary: Beautiful home with absolutely everything you need to for an island vacation! The beds were comfy, linens clean, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the backyard was beautiful with the pool and tiki bar! Coolers, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas to use on the beaches! Location is close to everything and within walking distance to a beautiful beach!

Summary: My daughter found this home on VRBO. We have always booked a place to stay with beach front views, but seeing the pictures of the house and pool area we decided to rent it. We were not disappointed from the minute we walked in the door. House was clean, decorated beautifully and had everything you need on a vacation stay. The pool and tiki bar just made it that much better. The short walk to the beach was no problem, we enjoyed watching the sunsets from there. It was a peaceful place to return to after busy days of sightseeing or checking out other beaches. Would highly recommend this house for a vacation get away. We already booked it again for next year. The only downside was my daughter ended up having an unexpected major surgery the day before we were to leave so my son and I are excited to be going back there again so she can enjoy the home like we did. Oh, and the little gifts left for us were greatly appreciated.

Summary: We had a great time at Barefoot Palms! We loved the location and walked to the beach almost every night for sunset. Kids loved swimming in the private pool at night after a day of exploring the island. There was no need for a hot tub because the pool water felt so warm at night. An added bonus was the discounts we got with local vendors for excursions and car rentals, as well as all the extras that came with the house (e.g., beach chairs/umbrellas, coolers, etc.). Summary: We loved staying at Barefoot Palms. Close to everything without the crowds. The private pool was amazing. We could walk to the crystal blue waters at Pelican Beach. Ramona offered discounts at some of our activities and car rental. Would definitely recommend!!
