Relax and enjoy over 3,000 square feet of living space plus almost 1,000 sq. ft. of deck, with dramatic views of the surrounding countryside. It's as close to a mountain view as you can get in Michigan! This home is secluded (almost 1/2 mile off the road) but only 2 miles from downtown Bellaire. It's mere minutes from Short's Brewery, Shanty Creek Resorts, Bellaire Lake and Torch Lake.
The large, open great room is perfect for family gatherings. A second kitchen, living room and dining room downstairs, plus a den off the main living area provide lots of space for privacy, even for multiple families. You'll love the open, airy feel and rustic decor throughout. Lots of knotty pine and hardwood floors.
The expansive deck with several tables and chairs provides plenty of room for outdoor entertaining. A large, stainless steel propane grill is available for grilling.
Enjoy the beauty of the night sky while you gather around the fire pit for conversation and S'mores! We provide the firewood, roasting sticks, and several camp chairs, you bring the food and laughter. And speaking of laughter, you can be as loud as you want, since there are no neighbors to disturb.
Glacial Hills trails are literally right out the back door; no commute required to experience this fabulous trail system.
**IMPORTANT** For winter rental, 4WD or AWD vehicles are REQUIRED to access the house! The driveway is no joke! It's long and steep, but there's a parking area about halfway in where you can park two-wheel-drive vehicles if some of your group aren't cool enough to have SUVs, haha.
Security: Please be aware there is a doorbell camera attached to the garage that has view of the driveway and is motion activated. Feel free to say hello when you arrive and good bye when you leave!

Summary: We had a good stay at this home. I apologized to the owner for the damages and we truly did not mean to cause this much of a mess for him as he was a great host. I didn't know of some of these damages that occurred and we are happy to accommodate whatever needs to be done payment wise.

Summary: The best vacation rental we have stayed at. Plenty of space for extended family. We were wondering how equipped the kitchen would be since we were there for Thanksgiving. The kitchen lacks for nothing! They even had 2 meat thermometers. Our grandkids had a blast sledding! The Christmas decorations got us in the holiday spirit. The hosts were great and responded quickly to any requests or questions.

Summary: This is a great property, with great hosts. The location is perfect. Very close to town (Bellaire), but very secluded at the same time. This is our second year there, and we could not be happier with this great VRBO listing.

Summary: Loved the lodge. The view from the windows that covered the entire front of the lodge was spectacular! The large deck was awesome. The most beautiful sunrises every morning! The lodge is spacious, and stocked with everything you could ever need! Lots of comfortable seating in common rooms and very spacious bedrooms. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and modern. Loved the coffee/tea stations. Lots of entertainment offered around the lodge: foosball, billiards, air hockey, competition basketball set, corn hole,, many many board games and card games available. Access to numerous towns/cities and Torch Lake ideal (30 mins). We’ll be back!!

Summary: We were here for a bacholoer party/golf trip and this place was the perfect spot for us! House and property were amazing. Very clean and for 15-17 guys we had more than enough room and were very comfortable here! House was fully stocked with everything we needed plus some! We will def be looking into renting this again for golf trips and family trips in the future. The hosts were very accommodating and very quick to respond anytime I reached out! I Would give it 10 stars if I could!

Summary: We were having a family reunion. This house accommodated us wonderfully. They were stocked with everything you could possibly need in regards to toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry products. We had ample towels, etc… We enjoyed the pool table, basket ball game and foosball in the garage. Ample seating and parking, They provided pack n plays and high chairs. Beautiful views. Responsive owners. We would love to come back.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The owners generously go over and above to provide anything you might need or desire for your large group. The view is so peaceful and beautiful. The kids enjoyed playing with the air hockey and basketball. There was ample space for all 19 of us. Hosts are quick to respond to any questions you might have. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

Summary: Had an absolute blast staying here with extended family and friends. There was everything we could possibly need at the house. It was very clean when we arrived. The mountain bike/hiking trails are such a great feature; thoroughly enjoyed being able to just jump on a bike whenever and enjoy the trails.
