The Marigny district, also known as Faubourg Marigny, is a unique and bustling riverside neighborhood next to the French Quarter. Saturated with Creole history and known for world-famous jazz and funk music clubs, the Marigny is quintessentially New Orleans. A popular spot for chefs, you’ll find the trendiest restaurants with fresh takes on local cuisine.
Being on Frenchmen Street, you will have access to daily live jazz and blues performances, restaurants & attractions just a few minutes from the house. The major benefit is that Frenchie is close to lively areas, but also a place where you can retreat home for a peaceful sleep since we are in the residential area.
With a history of 300 years New Orleans is known for preserving the past as much as possible and that shows throughout this neighborhood where many of the homes have been newly renovated or are in the process of being renovated to maintain their unique "shotgun" style and look. To a visitor the bright colors used might seem odd but the variety of colors and mismatched housing styles tend to add to the charm of the neighborhood.
Unlike many cities it is very normal here to say hello and talk to people as they walk by on the sidewalk and streets! Southern hospitality is alive and strong! So, don’t be shy and you will feel like a true local when visiting.
Parking on the street is available but renting a car is not necessary for your visit. Uber and Lyft are both available through out the city and the property is only a block away from the new up and running Rampart Streetcar Line!
Driving
We are just a 5 minute drive to the French Quarter. Just 8 minutes from Downtown!
Uber/Lyft will cost $5!
Street parking cannot be guaranteed and when utilizing street parking please make sure to adhere by city and state laws.

*You will have to climb stairs to reach the unit.
1. *We are legally limited to the posted maximum occupancy by local law. Additional guests occupying the space will be charged $100 per person per night.*
2. Quiet hours 10PM - 7AM.
Please remain cognizant and respectful of our neighbors.
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $100 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given and our cleaners have the right to enter the property and begin cleaning if they arrive and you are still present. If you are not at the property, our cleaners will set your items outside for you to collect. If the space you’re renting is for multiple units, the fee will be $100/hour per unit.
4. Smoking in the unit will result in a $500 Deodorization Fee.
5. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party will be charged a $1,500 fee for non-compliance with local laws.
Exterior cameras with active recording is present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken.
6. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
7. Please use our black makeup towels to remove makeup to avoid damaging white linens/towels.
8. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
9. While pets are allowed at this listing they are limited to 1 pet under 35lbs unless authorized prior to booking. Pets must be kenneled when left alone but should not disturb neighbors. Guests must clean up after pets outside. Pets should not be allowed on beds or furniture.
10. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
11. Please do not ship packages to yourself as we are not held responsible for them. We will not be responsible for them in the event they get lost, and will not be responsible for returning them if they are found after your departure.
12. Pack n' Plays and high chairs are available in the master bedroom closet.
13. There is a 500$ minimum fee for commercial photography and filming on the property. **All charges are the actual cost, including labor, to remedy each issue.**
14. The outdoor wooden/Adirondack chairs by the firepit has a MAX weight limit of 220 lbs. PLEASE do not sit on it if you exceed that weight, it will break.

Summary: This was the perfect place to stay in NOLA! Close to the Frenchmen street jazz clubs, which was our vibe! Very clean and super comfortable bed. They even had sunscreen :)

Summary: The home was absolutely gorgeous and spotless. The beds were comfortable, I slept so good. It’s peaceful and quiet, I didn’t even have to use white noise. I enjoyed the shower too. Water pressure was awesome. We enjoyed coffee on the front patio. We hung out in the backyard. Every little thing one would want in a vacation rental was provided at this property. This house is perfect! The location is my favorite! My family and I had a wonderful stay.

Summary: The accommodations were exceptional. The unit had all of the necessary amenities and more. It was very comfortable with a nice back yard and deck. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, but typical of the area. It was within walking distance of public transportation, stores, good restaurants and clubs. Street parking was always available during our visit. A 30-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to the French Quarter. A shorter walk/drive to the entertainment section of lower Frenchmen St. The sound insulation from the adjacent unit was not perfect. We could hear our neighbors and I am sure they could hear us. The hot water was, oddly, inconsistent. However, we were very satisfied overall and would consider booking again if ever we return to NOLA.
