Positive: It’s a lovely place with a beautiful garden, and the food is excellent. The bed is comfortable, and the terrace offers a stunning view.
Negative: Unfortunately, there was a strong odor in the room, likely from the bathroom sink, which was not very clean and had a lot of bugs.

Positive: We had a fantastic time with Sumatra Orangutan Trek. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The jungle trek was unforgettable. We saw several orangutans, gibbons, and other monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.
Negative: The food at the restaurant is not great. We opted to eat in Bukit Lawang instead.

Positive: AMAZING stay in there. Everything was perfect : the trek, the guest house, the restaurant (so good food) and the staff. Cooking staff, jungle guides, manager, driver, they are all very nice, funny and always happy to help. The organisation is very good. GO GO GO ;)

Positive: We spent 3 nights in the Villa. We were extremely well received by the manager "Dady Cool" and his team. Everyone is kind, friendly and caring!!! They are available at any time of day to help you with anything! We also went for a jungle trekking that was just amazing ! I totally recommend booking activities with them ! For the villa, you'll find everything you need in your room (and if something missing, they will do their best to help) On top of that, the breakfast and the whole dining menu are really delicious. Don't hesitate to eat there, you won't regret it Thanks again to all the team for the amazing moments we spent there !

Positive: The whole team at the stay are very warm and welcoming. They do pride themselves as a family, and one can sincerely feel it too. Each one of them take pride in what they do. Very good stay for those planning to do jungle trekking and spotting Orangutans. Dedycool is the manager of the stay and he can assist to arrange transfers and trekking tours. Fantastic meals by the restaurant operated by the stay.. authentic medan food that I'll utterly miss.. chef ITIN n chef Linda
Negative: All the trekking and transfers are quoted in Euro. Hence can appear a bit pricey for Asians with weaker currencies. I suppose it's because the stay has mainly European and Western guests, seeking adventures, nature and fauna.

Positive: Absolutely incredible experience! I did the day trek and stayed two nights. The accomodation is wonderful, very clean and luxurious. The staff are extremely helpful with excellent English. Can definately recommend staying here, and doing a trek. The rafting at the end of the day was awesome! If I come back, I will do a longer trek and stay again. Absolutely fabulous! Thankyou for making my time in Bukit Lawang so memorable!

Positive: We loved that the host and our guides were kind, friendly, happy and helpful. We appreciated that. My husband's credit card fell out of his pocket while we were there and the cleaners found it and they let us know he lost it and disposed of it for us. They even sent a video showing us this. We were very grateful for that. The food (pumpkin curry) we had there was absolutly delicious! The little bungalows were nicely done, cute and clean. It was a nice well kept property, (not right in the jungle like many of the other options we saw) we had thought it would be more in the jungle so that was disappointing, but it was nice, close to the river and very close to the little town.
Negative: We were surprised and not excited to find out (after booking) that they force you to do a jungle tour with them in order to stay there. We did not appreciate that. We wanted to do a orangutan tour but I wanted to research the guides to ensure they were not feeding the animals and go with those who don't to protect the animals. Unfortunatly this did not happen and I was not given that choice as we found out when we arrived at the airport that we must book their tour to keep our room reservation. I don't think this is fair it right (they said it is common practice there and everyone does this). Our guides were nice and we enjoyed our tour. We liked the guides, I just want to protect the animals and keep them wild. Also it was hot. The a/c didn't work super well and because we weren't actually in the jungle there wasn't a lot of shade/trees. So be prepared for the heat.
