Positive: Getting to this wonderful place is an adventure in itself. 15’ on a motor and a 20-30’ hike, but that will bring you to a home that settles itself in your heart (Don’t worry porters will be arranged for luggage and you will be guided – Connect on WhatsApp!). The family run hotel was constructed making use of the rocks from the river that curves around it and the wood from the jungle that surrounds it. You feel lost in nature. It has three upstairs rooms ideal for a family and a room downstairs. You’re family. The aunties cook local dishes (surprise menu – delicious banana-tree soup) and harvest from the garden. We planted a tree from the nursery. Cikita is a friendly host to help you. Baik is a senior guide with excellent English to help arrange trekking. The cook also gives a very professional massage. What can we say? Wifi and electricity may be spotty and there is no hamburger. But this place is so unique! Remote, so if you don’t want that, this is not for you. But if you look for a place to remember disconnected from everything. This is it.
Negative: Unfortunately, the booking said we had the whole villa but we did not. That caused some initial stress. This was kindly solved. Some things are a bit pricy like a surprise fee for coffee. But everything needs to be carried in. Unrelated to the hotel booking itself, but what everyone comes for in Bukit Lawang: The two day hike is rather touristy. Some guides do not have the right mindset for tourism. There are other options if you don’t want the 'oerangutan guarantee'. Ask Baik/Cikita about it.

Positive: An unforgettable experience in Bukit Lawang! The jungle trek was absolutely incredible. Surrounded by lush landscapes, the sounds of the rainforest, and the magical encounter with wild orangutans — everything was perfect. Our guide was passionate, caring, and deeply respectful of nature. He took the time to explain everything, which made the adventure even more meaningful. The trek was well organized, with nice breaks and even a delicious meal in the heart of the jungle. A truly authentic immersion in nature — I highly recommend it to all wildlife and adventure lovers

Positive: Villa is located at a bend in the Landak River so you can take in the many features which make Rinte a special place. The food is prepared using ingredients grown on the property and is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are happy to share their knowledge of the area.

Positive: I loved my stay here. The location is amazing - literally in the jungle. The staff were friendly and helpful, and took me on a night time jungle trek. I've never stayed anywhere like this before, and I would recommend Rinte Green Village to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the jungle near Bukit Lawang. Really unique accommodation and the food was delicious.
Summary: Really lovely hosts and if you want to get a good jungle feel, definitely visit!

Positive: Staff fantastic, very helpful, friendly, and again very very helpful (before my arrival, during my stay and even after!). The place is a little bit outside the town and for me this is a good thing because it is very quiet and peaceful. From the pick-up point You can walk for 20 minutes on the Landak river path to the Villa. The walk is nice, You get to see another side to the area.

Positive: All the staff and guides are very friendly and professional, we did a jungle trek together, it was an amazing experience. The location is great in a very quiet and peaceful jungle, we were served with unique and delicious local food during our stay there.
Negative: We pass through the river path to the Villa for 1.3 km from the pick-up point, I recommend wearing water shoes or sandals. Landak River is unique with clear shallow water with small but slightly slippery rocks.
