Summary: We had a fabulous 5 days at The Blue Oyster. The house is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and is set within the woodland running down to water. We greatly enjoyed spending time on the deck. A real home from home. The children really enjoyed time by the pool and canoeing on the water where we saw eagles and beavers! Fantastic find but what a shame we live so far away. Thanks for a great stay and restaurant recommendations in Irvington.

Summary: We've been coming to Irvington for the past few years and this was the best and most charming place we have stayed so far. The location, decor, and supplies throughout the home were perfect! We could have simply brought ourselves and clothes and would have been set for an entire week. Highly recommend this lovely home to enjoy time down in Virginia's best kept secret of a town!

Summary: Our group of 4 adults and a toddler had a wonderful time during our weekend stay at the Blue Oyster. The house is charming, nicely decorated, and partially remodeled. The location is super convenient to Irvington and a quick drive to Kilmarnock. We enjoyed dinner on the screened-in porch. The community pool is fantastic. The house was well equipped and the property manager was responsive when we had a couple questions. The main bedroom takes up the entire upstairs, and the other bedrooms are in the walkout basement. All of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. This all makes the house a great setup for a private and comfortable stay. We come to Irvington every year, and we will be back at the Blue Oyster!
