This is a beautiful 900 sq ft space on the bottom floor of our home. There is a double bed and two double futons. Bath with shower and kitchenette with all amenities except stove/cook-top. We have a microwave, toaster oven, hot plate and BBQ pit available. You will have a private entrance through our large backyard and access to our pool.

We work full time and have lots of activities but will be available to our guest as much as possible. We love the city of New Orleans, love our neighborhood and our home and are eager to share all of them with visitors! We live onsite, the yard and pool are shared with our family.
Neighborhood overview
Our neighborhood is only blocks from Lake Ponchartrain and beautiful City Park! We feel like we live in the suburbs but are only minutes from the French Quarter! We live in a very safe area of the city and enjoy our outdoor space.
Getting around
We are located about 6 blocks from Lake Ponchartrain and a mile from New Orleans City Park. By car we are approximately 8 miles/15 minutes from downtown/French Quarter. There is a streetcar line located approximately 2 miles from us, at the New Orleans Museum of Art, this line (Canal St/City Park) runs to downtown/French Quarter. Other things to note
Please take note that the sleeping arrangements are a double bed and two double futons. There is no stove or cook-top but we do have a microwave, toaster oven, hot plate and BBQ pit. There is a full sized refrigerator/freezer and table for 6. Free wifi! Direct TV as well as an antenna that delivers local channels and more and there is a DVD player available. We have a small dog (Rat Terrier) that goes into the backyard but he is never let into the room that we rent so if you have issues with pet allergies it should not cause any problems.
We do not allow parties of any kind!

Summary: My three kids and I were in new Orleans for a few days and this was the perfect location. It's in a nice neighborhood and a short distance from pretty much anything you need. It's about a 20 min drive Jackson square, the Catholic church and the voodoo museum. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This was a last minute booking for the weekend to visit our son on Family day at UNO. The neighborhood was conveniently located to the school and a very nice area. Room was excellent and just what we were looking for. Check in and out was easy and the room was priced competitively. Will definitely stay here again. 5 stars for sure.

Summary: My husband and I were looking for a way to beat the end of summer heat with our two kids and found this great gem of a place not too far from our house. It was also my son's birthday, and we thought this would be a great way to celebrate (and the price was comparable to kids' parties we've thrown at City Park). The pool and yard are immaculate! The studio has everything you'd need for a short stay. Did I mention that the pool is really just divine and that we had it all to ourselves? My son played in it for hours and hours. The hosts were wonderful with communication and very kind and generous. If you're a local like us and looking for a nice place to relax for the weekend with an awesome private pool, I couldn't recommend this highly enough.

Summary: April was friendly and prompt when we contacted her, and she made a great effort to anticipate our needs and offer us suggestions about events that would interest us while we were there. She and her husband were there if we needed anything, while letting us enjoy our time alone as family. There was a binder with information about local shops, restaurants and other facilities, as well as books and brochures about the city. The apartment was comfortable and tastefully decorated, with April's photographs of city sites on the walls. I was there with my husband and two children, who really enjoyed taking a dip in the pool first thing in the morning and in the afternoon. (Even in October, it could get hot, so that was a welcome respite!) We were welcome to use the pool whenever we liked. There was also a nice neighborhood playground in the park across the street. The apartment is very conveniently located: It's just a short drive (10- 15 mins) to many sites in the city (French Quarter, City Park, Uptown streetcar line, Mid-City parade routes), as well as being close to grocery stores and good seafood restaurants. We were also very close to Lake Pontchartrain, and enjoyed evening sunset walks along the lake. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. We loved being here, and will stay here any time we return!

Summary: My family enjoyed our time here. The pool was So nice and the kids had fun on the trampoline. We ended up in the pool the majority of our time there. We also got a lot of help when we asked for help with restaurants. Thank you !
