At Cayo Loco, as we affectionately call our condo, we have implemented Enhanced cleaning procedures before each guest arrives and after they leave. Clorex wipes, lysol disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer and disposable masks are supplied for your use. You have the option of having our property manager meet you for a meet & greet or you can choose to check-in with no person to person contact.
Our Punta de Mita beachfront condo, Cayo Loco, is located in a safe, small 12 unit gated condominium building on the beach in Punta de Mita, Mexico.
We are located on the 2nd floor, one floor up from the pool/beach area, and one floor down from the garage and entry way. When looking at the condo from the beach we are on the right, the larger side of the condo building. The condo is a spacious 1800 square feet, with an additional 250 square foot beachfront deck. From the moment you walk through the front door you will have breathtaking views of the ocean.
Enjoy easy access to a pristine pool and hot tub. If you are a beachcomber, we have a lovely private beach within the gates of the condo. Hop in the warm water, or relax on the sand with our shade palapas and chairs. Just a few steps beyond the gate is the beautiful public beach. We provide you with (4) comfortable Tommy Bahama beach chairs, (2) umbrellas, beach blanket, boogie boards, lots of beach towels, and a cooler and cooler bags for your convenience. If you like to grill out, please enjoy the outdoor kitchen by the pool. Complete with a nice bar area, small refrigerator, and a gas grill, you'll be sure to have what you need for your poolside get together. For a more private experience, use our grill on our spacious covered patio that overlooks the ocean. Tired after a day of fun at the beach, enjoy the comfy lounger on the patio to read a book or just to relax.
Cayo Loco has been lovingly furnished with our guests in mind. We have a king sized bed in the master bedroom, complete with a U.S. pillow top mattress, and new comfy bedding. All bedroom pillows have pillow protectors under the pillowcases on them.
The second bedroom has a queen sized bed with a U.S. pillow top mattress, and new bedding. We also have a twin bed with a topper and new bedding in this room. All mattresses have a zippered protective cover under the mattress pad. There is a comfy queen sized sofa-bed in the family room with a topper that you are welcome to use. Both bathrooms come fully equipped with fluffy towels, as well as soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your stay. The kitchen at Cayo Loco is truly a chef's kitchen with all stainless steel appliances including a wine refrigerator! You will also have access to all dinnerware, silverware, stemware and cookware. The sink in the kitchen island has a reverse osmosis water purification system. We have a 5 gallon water jug dispenser with cold and normal water temperature options in the kitchen with complimentary refills! Each room has an air conditioner controlled by a remote, as well as ceiling fans to keep you nice and cool. We have all the modern conveniences of home, including Wi-Fi, Fiber-optic Internet, USB ports in every room, a new 65" Smart TV w/sound bar, and an amazon firestick.. There is also a DVD player with lots of movies to choose from. Of course if you came to Mexico to unplug, there are board games, cards, and a take and leave library of books as well.
The state of the art Punta de Mita hospital is a 5 minute walk from our condo. There are also 2 walk up docs locations in town also a 5 minute walk.

This 2 Bedrooms Condo provides accommodation with TV, View, Sports/Activities, for your convenience. Summary: I stayed here with my husband and sister for several days after extending our vacation. We were lucky that it happened to be available last minute. Carol (the owner) promptly reached out as soon as we booked and provided us with the all necessary information to check in. We had to check out of our previous rental early and Carmen accommodated us as we needed to drop off our bags prior to check in. She was so kind and provided beach towels, an umbrella and cooler while we waited for the condo to be cleaned. She checked in with us throughout our stay and ensured we had everything we needed. The condo was clean, inviting and had everything you could possibly need to feel comfortable. Comfy beds, beach stuff, first aid kit, towels, etc. The beach was beautiful with a surf break directly in front of the condo. I highly recommend this place.

Summary: We had an amazing time here! The condo is stunning, and the location is perfect—just steps from the best part of the beach. We visit Punta de Mita every year, and this has been our favorite stay so far. While the property doesn’t allow kids under 12, meaning we’ll have to wait four years to return, it’s truly a slice of paradise—beautiful, safe, and right on the water.

Summary: Simply put, I have never had a better experience with a vrbo or other rental site. Every little thoughtful detail added up to an amazing experience, from the filtered water in the sink and water cooler, to the fresh flowers and home-made guac when we arrived, to the extra beach supplies, to the comfortable beds, and everything in between. Carol and Carmen were both lovely and kind. They made sure we had everything we need and more. The only negative thing I could say would be some sort of lie so that other people don't want to come here so this place is available whenever I want... muahahaha... but I won't do that to Carol :) It was just so great all around.

Summary: The condo was beautiful, looks exactly like images. We were here for a week with our 18 year old son. The beds were very comfortable, living room set up was wonderful. We spent many hours on the balcony, watching the surfers & whales. Carmen was great- loved the pico & gate- such a nice touch. The drinkable water given was so unexpected and we appreciated that. The condo is quiet but everyone was friendly. The town, many restaurants & grocery stores we walked to daily.

Summary: This is a clean, comfortable, spacious condo. The furniture and cabinetry are of superior quality. The beds are very comfortable. The condo generally, and kitchen particularly, are the best equipped of any vacation rental we have stayed at in Mexico. The pool is warmer than we expected. During our stay, the other guests and owners were quiet and respectful so it was peaceful. The owner was exceptionally responsive and the property manager was lovely and very helpful.

Summary: My fourth time in Punta Mita, so I knew the little town well. This apartment is in a great location, on the beach and close to the town's restaurants and shops. The apartment is well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, plus laundry and chairs/towels for the beach. The apartment is very clean and check-in with Carmen was super easy, and she is pleasant and knowledgeable. The smallest issue with the apartment was the hot water to the master bathroom - poor water pressure and it took a very long time for the water to get hot. The other shower is great. You can literally spend hours on the balcony watching the waves and surfers. The pool is a perfect spot to relax or have a fresh water swim. We walked to dinner all four nights and had a great meal each night. You can also sit in any restaurant, with a great view, and just have a drink. As a side, we played golf at Higuera (Litibu) twice, and loved the course - although the price there has jumped considerably over the last year. Overall -- a 10 vacation

Summary: Great property and location right on the beach with pool and surfing/paddleboarding steps away in Corral del Rico. Very easy walk into small town with many very good restaurant options. Carmen is a great property manager. The property is very well equipped with everything you need for time at the beach and relaxing in the condo. Would highly recommend location and over Sayulita and other options in the area.

Summary: This condo is TOO NICE! The decor and furnishings are not your typical vacation rental. This place is nicer than most homes and has EVERYTHING you can think of or may need while you’re visiting. The location couldn’t be better. The town is lovely. The owner and host are great communicators and the check in was perfect. You won’t be disappointed!
