We would love to host you at our beautiful beach house - please explore what we have to offer.
Here you will enjoy a sunny beachfront home with wide views over the beach from inside or out.
This is a comfortable and sunny three bedroom Lockwood-style home. Its spacious deck offers a fabulous vantage point from where you can sit back and relax while watching all the activities on the beach. When the kids need a break from sun, sand and surf, there is plenty of flat ground to play on up by the house. Indoors, the large open plan living room also offers plenty of room.
The kitchen has a bread maker, coffee machine and coffee grinder.
The front deck has a built-in shade area.
A double kayak and boogie boards are available for use. A key for access to the local tennis courts is available between Labour and Easter Weekend, bring your own tennis racquets and balls.
Heat pump and electric heaters available. Electric blankets on the 2 queen beds, additional woollen blankets available.
Hot outdoor shower is available. A hot bath outside is also available.
The house is close to a park for the children and equal distance from the 2 local shops.
Pukehina Beach offers great weather, with opportunities for swimming, surfing, fishing and you can walk for miles. You will love it.
Pukehina Beach is situated on the east coast of the North Island in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Pukehina Beach is an ideal spot to base yourself if you wish to explore the surrounding areas of Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane. It is situated an easy 30-40 minute drive from Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane. It is under 15 minutes from Te Puke golf course.
Pukehina is a small beach side community, and it is very quiet! Come here for rest, relaxation and time out from your normal busy hectic lifestyle.
Check-in time is 2pm and check-out is at 10am. (Late checkout rates can apply).
A cleaning fee of $120.00 is required.

Summary: This was a great stay, probably the best VRBO we've had. The owners stay there themselves for extended periods and so they have equipped the property fully for use and left it all for the renters. Everything needed was on hand and explanations were clear and full. The unit was the cleanest we've had, so clean my wife felt no urge to clean further - a first. The location is a bit isolated so expect that - 20 minutes to the grocery store. The pictures on the VRBO site perhaps don't do justice to how close it is to the ocean. The views from the deck are lovely and the canopy provides shade when you need it. All in all a wonderful stay, and a wonderfully helpful and responsive host.

Summary: We stayed at Pukehina Beach for our son's wedding at Pongakawa Old School House. We loved the place and the views were breath taking. Loved the 2 ceiling fans in bedrooms as they were very hot sunny days. Access and good instructions. We'll come back!

Summary: This beautiful property was well set up for our family. After a long travel, everything at the house was easy to find and use, there was clear instructions. Even though it rained while we were there, the outside area had blinds to close it off and still enjoy the beach. There was board games and a tv to keep the kids entertained

Summary: Very much enjoyed our short stay (didn't want to leave) Weather was beautiful on the first day, then packed in on the second day, but that didn't detract from enjoying this bach. A very quick dip in the ocean then up to the hot outdoor bath was a treat, as was watching the sea from the comfort of the lazy boys. Very tidy, comfortable and warm. Thank you for having us.

Summary: We love winters at Pukehina, no people, long walks on the beach. It's cold but great for stargazing. The outside bath is a winner and all you need to do is nothing. They have a mini poster on the the wall that says it all "Enjoying wasting time is not a waste of time".

Summary: We were looking for a house to stay in that would be dog friendly in Pukehina. We were going there for my sister's wedding nearby. We stayed for there for 4 nights. This is a beautiful location, backyard has the most relaxing vibe and we were lucky to have such great weather to enjoy the amazing view. The inside also made you want to sit in the bay window or at the dining table and take in the scenery. Besides the view, the house just had a lovely homely feeling and the host had provided all the essentials and most of the things you would need for a stay at the beach. I can honestly say that this has to be in my top 10 for accommodation and we would definitely go back. And the hosts, they kept us well informed and made sure we were aware of anything that needed to be done and they were always quick to respond. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who would love to get away from the norm and who want to relax, this is what you are looking for. Thank you again.
