Welcome to FOLLY!
One of the most beautiful Victorian Houses in Governors Harbour Eleuthera, with breathtaking views of the Harbour from sunrise to sunset. Sunset cocktails are an absolute must!!
The main town of Governor's Harbour, steps from our front door, has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a diving shop, and medical clinic. You can buy fresh fish every afternoon from fishermen at the town dock.
Friday Night Fish Fry in the Harbour is a street/beach party that brings all of the tourists and locals together with food, drinks, and dancing in the street. Something not to be missed… and you can walk.
Governors Harbour also has a beach on the harbor which you can see from the front of the house, and which you can walk to in two minutes.
Enjoy a beautiful night on the wrap around porch, dining alfresco and sipping cocktails while watching all the boats and activities.
FOLLY has been updated and features a large elegant living room with a gorgeous, open, sun-filled plan, overlooking the harbor and featuring light sheers for total privacy. This house also includes comfortable couches and a smart TV with cable and internet.
The wonderful separate dining room sits 12 and is great for large gatherings and has beautiful sideboards for easy entertaining.
There is also a sitting room with a walk out to the private back terrace. The terrace includes an outdoor eating area, lounge chairs, and an outdoor shower. A wonderful space for garden parties with night lighting and beautiful tropical flowers.
The stunning modern kitchen with an oversized island comes completely equipped, and features open shelving and plenty of counter space.
There is a full bath located on the main floor off the kitchen, which has a walk-in shower.
The second floor features 3 large bedrooms and a library which overlooks the Harbour.
Master/Main Bedroom - A dream retreat! This room features a queen size bed, closet, dresser, a separate AC unit, and a beautiful seating area for reading, with lots of natural light and wrap around windows.
Guest Bedroom 1 - Overlooks the Harbour, has 2 single beds that can be converted to a king, a closet and dresser and a separate AC unit.
Guest Bedroom 2 - Overlooks the rear terrace, has a queen size bed, closet, dresser and separate AC unit. From this room, you can smell the wonderful night jasmine as you fall asleep.
There is one shared bathroom on this floor that is en-suite to the master and which the other two bedrooms can access from the hall. This full bath contains a shower/tub combination.
Off the back terrace, there is a separate guest suite with its own entrance. A great space with a king size bed, en-suite full bath with a shower/tub combination, and a small kitchenette with a toaster oven, coffee machine, small fridge, kettle, plates and glasses and utensils. There is no range or oven in the kitchenette.
Nestled behind Folly's Main house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath Guest House surrounded by beautiful tropical flowers and stunning views of the Harbour from sunrise to sunset.
Folly's Guest House features an open concept living/dining room perfect for entertaining. A fully equipped kitchen and 2 large bedrooms and a 3 piece bathroom.
Guest bedroom 1 - This room has a king sized bed, closet and a dresser.
Guest bedroom 2- This room has 2 single beds that can be converted to a king, a closet and a dresser.

The glorious world-famous pink sand beaches of French Leave are a short picturesque 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk.

Summary: We spent 7 glorious days at this historic home in the heart of Governor's Harbour. The home was beautifully appointed and the layout was great for both group activities and alone time. We particularly liked the main house and guest house separation. Our host, Martha, was simply the most helpful (and charming) host we have ever worked with. Looking forward to our return to Folly.

Folly was beautiful, we especially loved the kitchen where the guy's prepared an amazing Mother's day dinner for the ladies. The host and the caretaker was very quick to our request, which was awesome 👌. We will definitely come back to Folly!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our trip to Governors Harbor was an amazing experience! We took a group of 10 college girls to the island for a week of fun in the sun. Martha met us at the house soon after our arrival and was kind enough to stay for cocktail hour and tell us all the wonderful places we should visit while we were there. Anything we needed she had the answer immediately! The house was perfect for us! We gave the girls the main house and small house next-door and we took the guest house in the back to get a little peace and quiet from the chaos! The house was very comfortably appointed and had everything we needed . The island is beautiful and there are many natural places to visit to spend day trips exploring. The buccaneer was right next-door for dinner drinks and dancing to live music. Great trip we can’t wait to go back!
