Summary: The view was amazing, our a/c wasn’t working correctly. They gave us a tan to use. It was extremely hot out when we stayed there, did not get any cleaning service one day, no soap or shampoo, they told my wife she would have to come down to the desk and get it , floor molding was coming up, tripped over it

Summary: The room was nice. We had problems with the card key entering our room. My wife and I were inconvenienced by having to wait for someone to let us in our room each time we left out to enjoy the beach, eat and enjoy Virginia Beach . The problem was resolved on the second day of our stay. However, the card key became inoperable a third time. My wife and I were offered no compensation.. Though I really like Schooner’s, I would think twice before staying on a return trip to VA Beach

Summary: The view was great and the room great as well. I will definately consider this hotel and when I return to Va Beach in the future

Summary: Our stay was pretty disappointing. We paid the higher price to book an ocean view room. To our disappointment, the city of Virginia Beach planned a music festival on the beach for the weekend after our stay; so our ocean view turned into the view of a giant music stage and festival grounds being erected. And the normal beach access from the hotel was blocked. The hotel claimed that they were not notified by the city and didn't know until it happened. That may very well have been the case. We simply asked that they discount our stay to reflect not getting everything we paid for. The office staff said they were reaching out to Hotels com to adjust our charge. It's now weeks later and we haven't received any discount or refund. Too bad. By and large we enjoyed our stay there; but this really tainted the experience. We do not plan on returning. If you are planning to stay there, I would recommend checking what might be going on around the hotel that week.
