Quinta dos Cochichos - Country Houses
Quinta dos Cochichos was a local farm, built back in 1917. The houses have been totally renovated, some being used as various accommodation units: 2 apartments , 2 duplexes and a studio, spread into 3 different and separated houses. There are other smaller buildings inside the property, these being used as support to the activity.
The farm is set in about 4 acres, surround by almond, fig, carob and olive trees. We have also developed other fruit trees including some tropical.
All units are different and named after a typical fruit from the Algarve: Carob House, Fig House, Loquat House, Olive House and Almond House.
LOQUAT HOUSE (Casa da Nespera)
Very nice spacious studio for 2 adults in double bed (200x160cm) and 2 children in sofa bed. There is also a single bed. Children under 6 years of age stay for free.
Very large private terrace (25 m2), with barbecue, tables and chairs and 2 sun loungers.
The studio is well equipped with a kitchenette, where you can prepare your own meals.
The living room area features a flat-screen TV with many channels.
The bathroom includes a shower, complimentary toiletries and towels.
Baby bed and other free items are available upon request.
Dressing room where you can leave clothes and luggage.
You may enjoy an outdoor pool and a sauna during winter time, as well as free Wi-Fi and secured parking inside the property.
Families and groups may enjoy the boule pitch or the giant trampolin available. There is a playground and a small kid’s house with toys and a sand box for the little ones.

Summary: Stayed at this lovely farmhouse for two weeks, end of April and beginning May. Faro is the nearest airport and it’s just 20-30 minutes away by car. There is three spacious self-catering apartments that are recently renovated (2013) with all necessary equipment. Breakfast is included and is served every morning. You can choose to have it in the apartment or have it in the common breakfast area. The farm has their own chickens so fresh eggs are on the breakfast menu. Also they grow organic fruits and vegetables. Nice to have freshly picked lemon in your water ? After a day at the beach, which can be reached by car in a few minutes, you can have relaxing late afternoon at the farm enjoying the sauna and/or the nice swimming pool. The sauna was perfect when we stayed there as the evenings could be a bit cold (+20 C). For children there is a small playground and there is also a place for playing boule. The hosts are very helpful and speak Portuguese, English, French, Spanish? and Swedish and can recommend nearby restaurants, beaches and shops. I can really recommend this B&B for everyone who wants to enjoy Portugal countryside and still be close to the beaches. Marianne & Nils from Sweden
