Summary: Booked 2 rooms for a girls weekend, 6 months in advance. Contacted the hotel directly to request rooms be adjoining. Upon check in, was advised rooms were on different floors. Evidently Hotels.com sent the hotel in accurate room requests so ended up with a superior (floors 2-8) and a premium (floors 7-9), even though I booked 2 superior rooms. Front desk was able to find us rooms next to each other, but not adjoining. Service at the front desk was always friendly. Sadly, someone in our group got food poisoning and was unable to let housekeeping into the room in the morning. Contacted the front desk twice when the room was available for cleaning, but they never came back. Hotel location is fantastic, but be prepared to hear the “downtown” activities at night. Decent food, drinks, and service at Pinky’s. Good Starbucks coffee downstairs. The hotel is old and shows it. Lots of patched holes, gaps in the door, and the showers didn’t drain well. One of the elevators was out of commission several times. Comfortable beds and a monster of a AC unit! Overall, it was an okay stay, but don’t expect anything other than a low 3 star experience.

Summary: Starting with the positives: The staff was incredible. They were friendly, took the time to learn our names, and were very helpful. The view from our room was beautiful. The coffee shop was great and we appreciated their extended hours. If there is one thing that should be remediated immediately it is the overwhelming smell of cleaning products/air freshener in the lobby which actually made me feel like the hotel was dirty because it felt like it was covering up some other smell. It really made it unpleasant to be in the lobby.

Summary: The staff at the hotel is super friendly! We were disappointed in the new restaurant "Pinky's". The food and service were not great and had too much of a cheesy beach bar feel. The previous restaurant was much better!

Summary: This was our first visit to Folly Beach. We enjoyed our short stay. It was nice to be able to bring our 3 year old small dog. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved Pinky’s. I have 2 suggestions for the hotel. One, a grassy area for the dogs and hooks or rods to hang wet clothes on in the room. Thank you!

Summary: Complaints about bathroom condition. Look behind bath door…needs a paint job. Ceiling in shower looks like there is mildew. Someone should complete chalking the corner unit in shower. Why is shower floor making squishy sounds? Bed was comfortable, ac worked well.
