This Shelter Island beach house has all the necessary ingredients for a fabulous year-round getaway. Located on a shy acre just outside the Village of Dering Harbor, this sun-filled and spacious waterfront home is on a slight elevation, with 150-foot sandy beachfront and dock . The first level features an open living, dining and kitchen layout with magnificent water views. The kitchen was renovated in the last two years with custom cabinets, granite countertops, and high end appointments. A sunroom is just off the living room with views of the garden. The master suite overlooks the water and as a bonus has a porch for romantic evenings. Two additional bedrooms are on the first floor. The lower level is above grade and finished with a dorm style bedroom with sliders to the waterside grounds and full bath.

Summary: What a fantastic vacation. Beautiful house, had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. Nick (host) couldn't have been more helpful, always responded very fast to my enquiries, with very helpful suggestions. He recommended restaurants, told us where to find a boat that would take us fishing (we caught a lot!) and made us feel completely welcome. I would come back here like a shot. Highly recommended.

Summary: Loved everything about our stay. The location is stunning and the breezes are a July joy. Our host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. The house is well equipped although the Wifi should probably be upgraded. All in all a five star plus experience!

Summary: We rented for a long weekend and could not have asked for a better experience. Nick was a wonderful host; responsive, accommodating and welcoming. The home was beautiful and inviting, with everything our family needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds. And the location is really special - right on the water for beautiful views and incredibly serene. We look forward to a repeat visit.

Summary: This was exactly the sunny, relaxing waterfront Spring Break we were looking for. The house is perfect for a family, with an ideal open layout, tons of sunshine, views of the water from almost every room. We love to cook and the view from the kitchen can’t be beat. My kids loved to pick up shells and run around the back yard and we could watch them from inside. Nick was very attentive. We’d love to come back.

Summary: My wife and I and our two young kids (4-6yrs old) enjoyed this house immensely. It was just what we needed to get away. Nick was attentive and accommodating throughout. We loved the sunroom and the views of the water never got old. It must be a truly special place in the Summer!

Summary: I’m hesitant to right such a positive review because I don’t even want people knowing about this place. The home is even more fantastic in photos. It’s lovingly cared for and the owner couldn’t have been more responsive. Stay here for a giant dose of relaxation.
