About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets.
The annual draw down of the lake has finished and the gates are closed. The lake is slowly filling up. Please inquire as to the water level.

Summary: We are obsessed with everything about this gem that is not far from our home! From the house to the house boat we loved everything about it. The view was amazing. We looked forward in waking up in the morning to drink a cup of coffee on the screen porch. Also, loved the fact Shreveport is not that far with a great selection of things to do. We will 100% be back!!!

Summary: We chose this place to stay for my cousins wedding. The owner was very responsive and comforting. She baked up home made cookies to start which were delicious. The house was smaller than we thought but was very quaint and homey. The one down side is the lack of curtains on all the windows, but it could also take away from all the natural light. All in all, we would 100% book this house again. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway with a very caring host.

Summary: Our family had an amazing visit, despite the weather, and made some great memories here. Mary provided everything we needed, and then some. Know that it is an old house, and that’s part of it’s charm, so there are some rustic, quirky elements to be expected. If you don’t mind that the bathroom is downstairs while the beds are upstairs, you’ll have a great time. If you happen to be a light sleeper, and have traveling companions who go to the bathroom during the night, you may want to have them sleep downstairs on the sofa sleeper or bring an air mattress, just to keep from making trips up and down, and potentially waking other sleepers. Otherwise, A++ Everything you could possibly need for a good, relaxing time on the lake, it’s all here!

Summary: We loved our stay at the red lake house !! It rained most of the weekend. We loved listening to the rain on the roof. The host was super friendly and baked us cookies !!

Summary: We loved this place! Great hidden gem. Our group loved the screened In porch and the fishing on the dock in the evening and night. Great place for us to hang out with our family. Mary was great at communicating and offering solutions. We had a power outage and Mary reached out immediately to make sure all was well. Property was clean and peaceful.
