Summary: This is such a cute house! We were able to accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 lids. We cooked almost every meal here. 1 and a half bath helped getting everyone ready for the day. Everything you could need, there is in this house. Only suggestion is bring your own chairs for outside.

Summary: We appreciated the location (near the Mississippi River), the rates, and that this very comfortable accommodation for all ages included a bathroom on each floor, booster seat, high chair, large table and plenty of chairs for the 9 of us and amenities such as laundry and full size fridge. We enjoyed taking the car ferry (20 min south) across the river to Iowa and visiting interesting natural areas such as Big Springs Falls and an amazing scenic overlook and hummingbirds at Pikes Peak State Park. Directions and information provided were clear and detailed. There were no problems, we met the property manager down the road while we were on a walk and he was there at check out.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay at the White House. Easy walk to town, kids enjoyed the nice playground. We played games in the small yard. kids enjoyed the bunk beds, and sleeping in each bed :) easy access to many different boat launches to explore different areas of the River. Loved the community pool in the neighboring town. Positives: Property was very clean and well stocked. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking for four. Negatives:The flat top grill was very dirty and rusty, we only attempted to use it once. While some may enjoy the food left behind for others use, we found the expired food to be just in the way but felt uncomfortable throwing it away because we didn’t understand why the cleaning crew didn’t. Concerns: we had an emergency and had to call 911 for an ambulance - was unable to connect from inside the house and had to walk down the street to connect. Could have been a much worse scenario if I needed to administer first aid while calling for help. I think the post should note the lack of cell service and even better, the house should have a landline if reception is so bad. WiFi was strong, so perhaps an internet phone.
