Welcome to 'Southern Attitude'. Our address is 6195 Sawgrass Drive, Gulf Shores, 36542. Southern Attitude is a very easy stroll to the white sandy beaches and beautiful waters Gulf Shores is famous for, but distant enough from the busy beaches of the downtown area to enable you to enjoy seclusion and peace. This house was built to be a restful beachfront retreat; it has been loved and enjoyed by all who have vacationed here and we know after your stay, you will agree!
Our house is located in beautiful, tranquil Fort Morgan, 6 miles from the actual historic Fort Morgan and minutes from downtown Gulf Shores. We are 20 minutes west of downtown Gulf Shores, convenient to all restaurants, grocery stores, shopping centers, movie theaters, zoo, amusement areas and water park. For golfers in the group, it is minutes away from the world famous Kiva Dunes Golf Club, a winner of numerous Golf Digest awards, as well as several golf courses conveniently located nearby. For days you would enjoy pampering, The Spa at The Beach Club (just minutes away) offers the best in services for mind and body.
Southern Attitude is richly decorated and furnished to meet your needs for a comfortable, relaxing, fun beach vacation. This beautiful 2 story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath house boasts two decks in the front of the house; French doors lead from the primary (King) and 2nd bedroom (King) that offer spectacular views of the Gulf. This screened-in 2nd story front balcony is furnished with comfortable chaise lounges, Adirondack and rocking chairs, perfect for relaxing while watching and listening to the waves hitting the shore during the day or viewing the incredible star-lit sky at night. The main floor (King) bedroom includes a full bath, with easy access to the kitchen, dining and living rooms.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for an easy vacation, including dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator with ice maker, all cookware, flatware, utensils, dining sets, small appliances and full pantry space. If grilling outside is your pleasure, there is a charcoal grill available for you as well. (We supply a small 'starter set' of paper towels, dishwasher detergent, hand/bath soaps; we do not supply spices, condiments or paper goods). We do not supply Beach Towels.
The dining area has a table large enough to seat 8 comfortably, with seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. The house is equipped with free Wi-Fi, as well as a flat screen TV, DVD/CD player in the living area. These rooms offer a beautiful gulf view and walk-out front porch, furnished with southern style rocking chairs.
The back porch is screened in, furnished with table and chairs. On the beach/car-port level, you will find an enclosed outdoor shower with a changing area. There is a comfortable porch swing for spending time relaxing under the house, listening to the waves; a perfect place for children to play on rainy days! For making your stay easy and more enjoyable, the storage area on this level has a wonderful selection of sand toys, umbrellas and chairs, coolers, as well as two carts to transport everything you need to the beach. In addition, there are two community pools and tennis/pickleball courts within walking distance, just minutes away.
Our beaches and scenery are magnificent, the golf is spectacular and the restaurants are outstanding. There is truly an activity for every member of the family. Southern Attitude isn't just the name of our house, it truly reflects the good nature, beauty and hospitality that IS the South!

Summary: Look no further for your next vacation beach house. Southern Attitude has it all! We stayed here in July 2024 with four adults and six kids ages 4-12. We had the best time! The beach is very accessible with a flat walk and not very far at all. You can see it from the deck. The pools are also nice with one being very close. The owners have taken the time to give great directions and also stocked the house with everything you need to make meals including grilling. There is plenty of space for families and groups. The best part of this house is the lower level. There’s a closet full of everything you need for the beach - wagons, chairs, sand toys, floats, tent, and more! There’s also a space to clean up after a day at the beach including a hose. The Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores areas are a great place to visit and this house makes everything better and easier!

Summary: We loved our stay at Southern Attitude! The house was absolutely beautiful and very clean. It was exactly what we needed for our family/friend group of 10, including four kids between ages 3-10. The bunk room was perfect for the kids and each couple had a comfortable king size bed. Since there were 3 bathrooms, each family had their own to use for the week which was very nice. There is a laundry basket in each bedroom, which is helpful to have! The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils and anything you need to cook a meal (including a crockpot). There was also a nice charcoal grill and supplies for grilling (charcoal, lighter fluid, lighter, etc.). The house was very close to the beach access and to one of the swimming pools. The other pool and tennis courts were a quick drive away but also not too far to walk (maybe 5 minutes at a casual pace). We brought our own beach chairs and canopies, but if we had not there would have been plenty of beach umbrellas and chairs in the closet. There were also two carts for hauling everything to the beach and lots of beach toys. One of our favorite things about the house were the large front porches! The upstairs porch was screened-in and the main level front porch was not. You can see and hear the ocean from both, and it was wonderful to sit outside enjoying the view. There is also a nice screened in porch at the back of the house. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Summary: Southern Attitude located in Morgantown neighborhood of Ft Morgan was fantastic for our family of 8. Kitchen was well equipped with nice pots/pans and plenty of glass & plastic dishes. Three porches(2 screened) with comfortable furniture to enjoy the outdoors. LOTS of beach/pool supplies in good working order in the closet on lower level. Outdoor enclosed shower with hot & cold water made keeping sand outside so much easier. Clotheslines to hang wet suits so helpful. Hose available to hose off toys & chairs. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: The beach house is absolutely beautiful!! The owners have thought of everything! Beach tents, chairs, sand toys and carts to pull it all to the beach, which is a very short walk. They have a high chair, booster seat, baby gates for the stairs and a pack and play for littles. Lots of games too play. The best part is they answer when you need something!! Summary: This home was beautifully decorated! Everything was clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable. It was an easy walk to the beach and the pool. We had plenty of room for our family of 10. The home was stocked with everything you needed for the beach which was a win for us. Chairs, umbrella, toys, and even 2 wagons! I would definitely recommend this home. We had a great vacation here. The front stairs are very steep, but us older folks had no trouble with the back stairs. The only issue was that there was not a Bathroom downstairs except for the bathroom inside the downstairs bedroom. But we made it work, it really wasn’t a problem just an inconvenience. Overall it was perfect!
