This house has been recently updated and renovated within the last year. The house sits on a secluded side street in the town of Rye less than a mile from the beach. Relax inside by the hearth or custom kitchen, or you can sit outside on the mahogany deck overlooking the private back yard. The home features one large master bedroom with a king bed and oversized custom bath. Additionally there is a bunk room and an entertainment room with a large screen smart tv, nintendo wii, and a large couch. The house is ideally situated just minutes from the pristine beaches of Rye and a just a 10 minute drive to Portsmouth. Summary: My family and I enjoyed staying in this home for a week as ventured out on many adventures, visiting light houses, eting wonderful seafood and enjoying the Atlantic's beaches. Nice location near the beach. Wonderfully maintained home and well supplied with everything we required. it was clear the previous vacationers had left some food and beverages and we returned the favor for the next visitors. Great place to stay.

Summary: Ernie’s house was perfect for six of us to enjoy a great beach week. It’s really an upscale property with a generous master bedroom and en suite bath, a comfortable lay out through the kitchen and living room and a large back deck perfect for summer nights if you want to BBQ or take the local seafood back to the house. Ernie was a great host and we’ll definitely rent again given the opportunity.

Summary: This is a wonderful property. The setting is bucolic with the house nestled in a large private lot bordered by trees . Both the front and back yards provide plenty of space for lawn games. A large deck is perfect for dinners under the stars and a roofed porch allows you to be outside during summer rainstorms. The house is IMMACULATE with a dream kitchen, huge primary bedroom with ensuite spa bathroom. There are even two family rooms. The property is well-stocked, with plenty of towels, linens, beach towels, and beach chairs. I didn’t need to buy a single spice, cooking essential, or cleaning product. There is even a clothes steamer! Ernie is an incredibly attentive & thoughtful host. When our arrival flight was significantly delayed, he went to the house to turn on all the lights for our late arrival. He responded immediately to any questions. When we were unable to return home to Naples, FL due to Hurricane Ian, Ernie kindly & generously allowed us to extend our stay, even though it inconvenienced him personally. Ernie has created a lovely ‘home away from home’ and is an extraordinary host.

Summary: The property was very nice, and we appreciated the renovations. It was a bit of a walk to the beach, about 15-20 minutes. There is some street parking available, just be careful of the signs. You can also pay to park at Wallis Sands Beach lot. The beach itself was beautiful. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house did get pretty hot at night. There was a portable air conditioner in one room, and fans. But in 90 degree temps, it could only do so much. Would love a coffee maker in the house - there is a Keurig, but no coffee pot. Also a clothes line to hang up wet bathing suits and towels would be appreciated. Owner was very responsive when I reached out with questions. Plenty of towels and sheets for the week. We had a great time!

Summary: I can only echo what others have said before me: this home is so much more than the listing conveys…..a rare and welcome surprise! The congenial host had anticipated our every need and thoughtfully supplied so many extra touches: the well equipped pantry and kitchen, the quality of all the furnishings and linens, and a large cache of beach supplies, to name a few. The lawn and back patio are wonderful places to relax and take in a meal of the local seafood or enjoy an early morning as the world wakes up. And it is all so very, very clean and well looked after. The beach is a mere 4 minute ride, and this home’s central location makes it ideal for daily excursions to all the sights the area has to offer. I could have stayed all summer!
