Positive: Very central to French Quarter. Well appointed kitchen. Spacious apartment in good working order.

Negative: Lift not working and there are 60 stairs to get to apartment. Windows were covered with perspex which does little to block noise and prevents windows from being opened. We were advised of lift outage the day of arrival. I requested alternative accommodation as we were on an extended trip with heavy luggage that had to be carried up the stairs. We were offered assistance via email in response to the request. I advised of arrival time but we were halfway up the poorly lit staircase before help arrived. The entry was dirty and dark, even during the day. There was great cupboard space but it was full of linens. We had three people and it would have been uncomfortable travelling with more as seating and luggage storage was in short supply.

Positive: In a great location, with everything we needed

Negative: The lift was not working due to maintenance, the stairwell was lit by temporary lighting to floor 2, we were on floor 4. Thumping music until the early hours meant disturbed sleep.

Summary: It will be a great place when the lift is working, especially if you can sleep through thumping music.

Positive: Check in process was simple and easy. The apartment had great bones and character. Location could not be beat.

Negative: There is a night club below that I don't think was communicated well. The hosts took a while to respond and did not always answer the questions or concerns. We contacted them night one about the ice machine and it was never fixed. The showers leaked and there was soap scum on the glass. There was a pipe that burst in NOLA in our area and we ended up in a boiled water advisory and they never mentioned it when we messaged them about there being no water pressure.

Positive: The property was clean and comfortable. Very nice apartment. Very well maintained. The Athenian restaurant on the corner is a must try.

Negative: The location was pretty noisy lots of truck noise in the morning. The first night there was lots of noise from the club next door. Thumping music all night along with drag racing out on the street, fighting all night outside from club goers. Luckily it was only one night. Water pressure is not good. Hand held shower would be nice. Mattress was hard but that is subjective. I’ve Also something to note the tenant or guest of the apartment smoked pot all day everyday and the smell was very strong in our apartment. The elevator sounds like it’s on its last leg.

Summary: The place overall was nice and clean we never felt unsafe in the location.

Positive: Location was great. It is a very unassuming entrance, pay attention to the door numbers on the outside doors. We felt very secure when we got inside and headed to the fourth floor. Elevator does make some noises but it worked fine for us. It was a small complex and was quiet. We were there Wednesday through Friday morning, cannot speak to the weekend. It also felt safe because the fire department was next door.

Negative: No closet space or any hangers to use. No real place to hang clothes or things in the bathroom, could use some hooks throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Summary: Very enjoyable girls trip thanks to this rental!
