Just minutes from Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the legendary Broadmoor, Downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs, where there is endless entertainment.
The house is nestled in the backyard of North Cheyenne Cañon, where you can experience the best hiking trails, nature walks and scenic views Colorado Springs has to offer. Whether you are exploring the trails or basking in the hot tub under the stars after a captivating hike, you are sure to get the full experience of nature. This cozy retreat is the upper level of split level home with separate access from the back porch and a solid core locked door between the levels. With two bedrooms the home accommodates-four guests, with living and dining areas, large three quarter bath, laundry room and fully stocked kitchen. The patio with its stunning views has a hot tub, gas grill and backyard exclusively for guests. The lower street level portion of the home is a separate owners quarters added later. The space:
Nestled in the heart of beautiful Cheyenne Canyon, this remote mountain retreat is the best of both worlds. Enjoy the tranquility of a mountain cabin and the convenience of nearby local attractions, activities, shopping and restaurants. Our home in this unique neighborhood allows guests to walk right out the door onto hiking and biking trails, take a stroll just blocks away to the local cafe and bakery or to visit the historic Broadmoor hotel, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and many other area attractions. Seven Falls, Helen Hunt Falls, historic Old Colorado City, Downtown Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and a variety of other uniquely Colorado experiences are minutes away. Enjoy a soak in our hot tub looking out onto the hills as you begin your day or return from all your adventures! From the house, you can view and hear the gentle chiming of the historic Will Rogers shrine.
Our home is a newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 3/4 bath with all updated features and amenities while retaining a rustic charm.
Upstairs, the main level includes an open concept kitchen with gas oven, dining area and living room with gas fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with any cooking or entertaining supplies you may need including a fondue set and crock pot for fun and easy family meals. The bathroom includes a spacious shower, twin sinks, and separate laundry room. The master bedroom has a king size bed, gas fireplace with windows that open out toward the southeast section of the canyon toward the Broadmoor Resort and Cheyenne Mountain. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with windows opening to the East. Off the living room in the backyard we have a partially covered patio with hot tub, gas grill and seating and dining area looking out into the mountains. A chiminea wood fireplace on the patio can be used only in the winter months and with permission from the host as dry conditions and high winds can result in outdoor fire bans.

The upper level of the home is available to you during your stay. One off street car park in front. Exterior brick stairs provide access to the backyard and the upper level of the home.

Summary: Mark is a very gracious and thoughtful host. We had a great time and enjoyed the hikes just a few steps away from the property. We saw many rabbits and mule deer. The neighborhood is eclectic and close to many restaurants and things to do.

Summary: I can't say enough positive things about Mark or the property. The views were breath-taking, the location was PERFECT and my husband and daughters and I all felt at home. Mark was attentive and helpful when it came to all my questions and with suggesting things to do in the area. The house was absolutely perfect for my husband and I, our adult daughter and our teen who made the lower level into her hangout! All the beds were very comfortable and the amenities were plentiful! If you need something during your stay...chances are it is already in the house! We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

Summary: We had an awesome stay at this home in Colorado Springs. Such a beautiful place in the BEST location. The stocked pantry was a huge perk and something you never see in vacation rentals. Very clean and comfortable - lots of attention to details. Just cannot say enough great things about this place and the host. We rent a lot of places and this was by far the best! We will definitely come back.

Summary: What a unique property. The view and trail access is superb. The backyard is amazing. We saw deer every morning. The supplies at the house were impressive - literally anything you might need in a pinch. Has all basic laundry, shower and paper supplies. We will for sure be back!

Summary: We had a wonderful time at Mark’s place. It was clean and cozy and the views were amazing. The pantry was stocked with goods including seasonings to cook meals. Mark even dropped off some complimentary food items the first day. He was such a great host and was very responsive and even came to the property to clear some ice around the steps for us. I would highly recommend his place!

Summary: We loved our stay in Mark's rental. The rental was situated in a small neighborhood that had trails on either side. We brought our bikes over and were able to explore the trails on bike and foot. Mark was gracious enough to provide us w/ some maps of the area that we found very helpful. All in all, our family had a wonderful time. Our family spent most of our time on the top floor. Kids preferred sleeping in the bedroom next to the master bedroom. It was a challenge keeping that room warm. But the kids dressed up a little and were able to sleep comfortably once they let us know. Fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom help pre-warm the rooms for occupancy. The kitchen was well stocked and that enabled us to do a lot of cooking at home in these pandemic times. Mark also provided us w/ clorox wipes which was very helpful. During our stay, we also got some snowfall on 1 of our days. Coming from a southern state, the family enjoyed playing in the snow. We also had several walks and bike rides in the surrounding trails. I was able to hit the more challenging trails while the fam was taking a break. We also got to use the clay chiminea in the patio and Mark had stocked up some kindling ready for the fire. After a day of biking and hiking, sitting down to the backdrop of the cheyenne peaks and a cozy fire was the ultimate relaxer. We also got to meet some friendly neighbors. Many were also curious about our EV that we brought all the way for 900 miles with a bike rack filled with 4 bikes so we were happy to share information on that. Our family had a blast and Mark's rental was a definite hit.
