Architect-designed The Round House sits just above the Peak District village of Rowsley, boasting stunning views towards Haddon Hall and Bakewell. Walk to Chatsworth House (3 miles) across the fields following the River Derwent. Set in 9 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens with wonderful birdlife. Plenty of great walks from the house plus all year round indoor heated pool. An idyllic spot in which to explore The Peak District.
You will find plenty of funky vertical beams, wall length windows to embrace the views and a huge sitting/dining area with comfortable sofas to curl up on after a long walk. Brand new super-comfortable beds in all three bedrooms - Master bedroom and en-suite downstairs, twin room and single room upstairs with family bathroom and chilling area with bean bags. Further bathroom downstairs. Outside on the patio you will find outdoor sofas, dining table and a Weber charcoal bbq, all within your own garden. Don't forget charming Woodside Cottage (sleeps 4) based at the same location - perfect for family get-togethers.
POOL: 4.5m x 7.5m (approx). Shallow end = 0.9m Deep end = 1.8m
The pool and area are open for you to use between 10am and 6pm, using the pool rota provided. The pool is shared with Woodside Cottage.

Summary: Spent a lovely long weekend with friends, great views, comfortable (although could do with another easy chair) and close to lots of attractions & watering holes! Would recommend.

Summary: Lovely house in peaceful surroundings, a deer came to visit us and there were about 6 hares in the field next to us. Fairly dark skies so stars were very visible on a clear night. My grandson loved the pool, we had both properties for the weekend so didn’t have to share. Shirley the owner and Lucky the cat were both lovely. Would happily visit again.

Summary: We stayed in this place for 3 nights and 4 days. We have a wonderful stay, the place is spectacular, very clean from towels to bedsheets. The kitchen is complete and the utensils are very clean. The surroundings is quiet and peaceful, if you love nature then this is the right place for you. There's loads of walking trails. We also enjoyed the pool. Highly recommended. The hosts is mindful and the communication was good. Satisfied guests.. Dopeno family❤️

Summary: This place was just great for our family getaway. The location is idyllic, with the most amazing countryside views and set in a vast garden. The house is modern, quirky and spacious. The kitchen is relatively small, but there is a large fridge/freezer in the hall in addition to the small one in the kitchen, so perfectly adequate. The swimming pool is absolutely wonderful. The huge windows overlook the stunning view. The pool rota is a great idea - we had plenty of time with the pool all to ourselves. Bliss! We're hoping to come back and book Woodside Cottage, too. Summary: The round house was great for us - we really appreciated multiple bathrooms, a secluded adult bedroom downstairs, and a spacious living area with nice touches like blankets to make it feel cosy. The kitchen is small, but the extra larger fridge and freezer in the hall made it suitable for a longer stay; on holiday we only cook simple things, so didn't need a big cooking area. We found the location perfect for reaching lots of places easily, and had a fab few days there.

Summary: Everything was just perfect. Fabulous location, rural but not off the beaten track. Very easy check in, beautifully clean and very comfortable. The outside space was perfect for the BBQ and for our three year old to run around in. The pool was just the right temperature and very clean. Excellent communication from Izzy the host. Well worth a visit!

Summary: We needed a place to stay shortly after the birth of our second child that would host our in-laws. The roundhouse was perfect, the pool and surroundings have plenty of entertainment for the family and the house was very clean and comfortable for cuddles with our newborn. Would love to stay again!

Summary: The location of the property was lovely and the garden with deer, bird life and rabbits was delightful for the children. However, I feel the price we paid for the property (and shared pool) was too high for the overall experience. The kitchen was not suitable for a family of five and could only really have one adult in the area to make dinner. The house also had another visitor that arrived every night - a mouse. This led me to have some sleepless nights and concerns about the cleanliness of the crockery and cutlery as it could be running in the cupboards and I had to move most of the food and other items to high cupboard space and in the fridge. We did contact the owner and they did put traps down on the last night but the mouse simply took the chocolate and walked off! The pool was also disappointing. The first day we used it, you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool as the water was so murky and there were signs of green slime around the edges and on the bottom. We only used it twice and I wouldn’t let the children dive down under the water. Although the location and property owner contact was good, the Easter holiday price tag was higher than it should be for the overall experience
