"Water Oak Cottage" is one of the original vacation residences on the North End of beautiful Virginia Beach and offers both quaintness and charm. The cottage is located just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to shopping, entertainment and dining. In the cottage, there are three bedrooms which will sleep six people and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a queen size bed and the third has two twin beds. There are TV's in all three bedrooms. The family room has a flat screen TV, seating, dining table & chairs, and a fireplace. Each bedroom and the family room has a ceiling fan. In addition, there is a large patio/deck area with a gas grill, outside table and chairs and a outside shower. Guest will have access to the house telephone and WiFi service. Clothes washer & dryer, refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, cookware, silverware, dishes, glassware. Guest can either provide their own bed linens, bath towels, kitchen towels and beach towels or owner can suggest a company that provides all linens and towels for a nominal fee to the guest.
There is also off street parking for two cars located in front of the cottage. NOTE: THIS PROPERTY IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR LONG-TERM LEASE.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The beach was a short walk away and was nice and quiet with lots of wildlife. The owner was very responsive.

Summary: This was a very nice place, a short 7-8 minute drive from the bustle of the VA Beach “strip”. Easy, walkable access to the beach about 1.5 blocks away. Paul was very quick to communicate and answer any questions. Be sure to bring your own sheets and towels as none are provided (as listed in the description). This struck us as slightly odd compared with other rentals we have stayed in, but it worked fine bringing our own. You can also rent linens if you’d like. Three good sized bedrooms and two baths made for plenty of space for the four of us to spread out. The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing the sand off too. Overall a great stay!

Summary: Probably one of the best spots in VB. Close to the beach and services but far enough from the noise of the town. Nice deck in the backyard to hang out in summer nights. You need to bring everything though (towels, linen, soap).

Summary: Quaint older cottage house, perfect for a small family and surrounded by a multitude of flowering bushes and shade trees that nearby newer properties lack. Brilliant outdoor shower and deck set up, and the grill and nice kitchen makes it an ideal place to escape from the more crowded beaches & downtown.

Summary: Paul couldnt have been more accomodating during covid-19, I will be booking this house again. Great location, great neighbors, close to the beach and very very relaxing!

Summary: We appreciated the comfort and location of Water Oak Cottage We spent most of our time on the nearby beach but we enjoyed the large deck and surrounding gardens, too.

Summary: The property is very quaint and well appointed. The deck is beautiful, with an outdoor shower, and very close walk to the beach. My only issue was not realizing I needed to bring my own towels, bed linens.. I did not notice it on the listing information. It is a lovely cottage and I would recommend it if linens are not an issue for you traveling from afar. We thorghly enjoyed our stay and it is a great locations, great beach area...
