Refurbished and restyled in ‘manhattan loft’ style - amazing communal lounge and dining area. Private garden. A short walk to the golf links and the world famous Old Course.
** IMPORTANT NOTE** our next door neighbour is selling their property in 2025, with planning permission for a major redevelopment of their property. We have discounted our rates to reflect this - hopefully there will be no works during your stay, we just cannot guarantee this - but we wanted to be completely open with all our guests before booking. Your stay for up to 6 adults could be great value with unbelievable views from all windows over all three beaches, the golf courses, the Castle and the Cathedral....

thebeachhouse is an inspiring townhouse with stunning open-plan living room and kitchen/diner with elevated penthouse views over St Andrews bay.
The open plan 'manhattan loft' is our feature area - a first floor lounge and kitchen/diner which gives you elevated views from the Cathedral at the rear to the beaches and Castle out front.
We have three bedrooms (one double and two twins) which will sleep six people, three bath/shower rooms, and in addition a garden room/snug with a corner sofa
Please note, as our townhouse has an open plan middle floor, it is not possible to put stair-gates on for very young children.

Summary: If you're looking for the most charming, convenient property in St. Andrews, this is it! The space is cozy and inviting, with a large table and lounge area perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal. The kitchen and laundry facilities were a huge plus, making our stay even more comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of St. Andrews, making it easy to walk everywhere. It’s perfect for exploring the town without needing a car. I stayed while visiting from the States to drop my son off at college, and this felt like the perfect sanctuary during such an emotional time. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, which made us feel right at home. It’s truly a gem of a place, and we didn’t want to leave (and hope to be back!) Whether you're here for the stunning views, the comfort, or the convenience, this is a must-stay for anyone visiting St. Andrews!

Summary: The listing and the pictures did not do the beach house justice. Spacious living room and kitchen area and comfortable rooms. Very quiet location with great access to many sites. Ann was fantastic to work with. She provided great communication and made the experience simple! We hope to be back!

Summary: Great place but previous guest must have taken the dvd player hdmi lead. Owner tried to get a new one delivered but never arrived. Also, there was a leak in the toilet that last guest did not report. Would have been better if owner warned us earlier on arrival rather than morning after first night when we had a long lie in only to find out a plumber was coming in an hour and the ensuing mad rush to get up showered and dressed. That said owner did try her best and house is lovely and in a great location. I would definitely go again.

Summary: We were staying in St. Andrew's for my daughter's graduation. The beach house was an ideal spot. Beautiful views and a great location. It was nice to be slightly out of town, but close enough to walk into town to all the restaurants and bars. The bedrooms are on different floor levels and the living and kitchen/dining is all on the same level. That made cooking and cleaning easier. A large farmhouse table was ideal for our group. I would definitely rent again.

Summary: What a wonderful house and location to spend time in St Andrews. We were 4 guys on a golf trip and plenty of room for all to feel comfortable. The location provides easy walking access, within 10 minutes, to all things in the city. We also used this location as a hub when golfing within a 30 minute drive to surrounding courses. The views, sounds and smells of the ocean were an added bonus which greeted us at both the start and end of our days. Parking was very easy and accessible behind/in front of the unit. Ann was a very gracious and communicative host which was appreciated as we were traveling from the US and first-time visitors. This would be my first choice for accommodations when I return in the future. Thank you Ann!

Summary: Wonderful location looking over the sea and the ruins of the castle. Gorgeous home. Probably the best VRBO we have ever rented. Short walk to every bar and restaurant in St Andrews yet very quiet at night. Communications from owner were immediate and helpful. We shall definitely return.

Summary: Fraser’s home was the perfect location for our family golf trip to St. Andrews. The beach house is stunning and the views are amazing. Waking up every morning to the sounds of the North Sea is unforgettable. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you would need to feel right at home. Fraser was so helpful and a great communicator. Everything in town is within walking distance from the house. We would definitely stay there again for our next trip to St. Andrews
