Summary: The view of the golf course is beautiful. The diner was very good. Staff at the restaurant is very helpful Breakfast is a bit disappointing considering the standing of the establishment. Nothing bad but not fantastic. Also when we had supper, there is no price on the menu except for drinks. That was a bit disturbing. Finally, we arrived a bit early as we flew in from Canada. We were very tired but the room got ready only at 2:30pm, which is exactly the time when it is supposed to be ready. I cannot fault the establishment but I would have appreciated some gesture to expedite the readiness of the room. The room is very quiet, there is a nice old library and rhe garden is simply magnificent. All in all, it was a very good stay and a beautiful scenery. But I think a bit overpriced for what we got.

Summary: The hotel and staff are amazing. A little quaint at first but that definitely grows on you. Tony the pianist was fantastic and played almost 5 hours solid with just a very short break. Reception area for check in/out is very odd like you are not sure you're doing things right. Breakfast was a major disappointment - the full Scottish was stingy in portion size (half a slice of bacon, skinny sausage and dry potato scone) and the guacamole for eggs benedict seemed shop bought. The room, gardens and surroundings were beautiful. Will come back but little areas to improve on.
