Maple Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6. This newly-renovated cottage located in the scenic Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina features a living room with an original stone fireplace (gas logs), central heating and air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchen. You will enjoy morning coffee on the screened front porch, cocktails on the flagstone patio, and making S’mores in the backyard fire pit. A gas grill is available for a quick barbecue. The Cottage has lovely landscaping and ample space for parking. There is wifi available along with smart TVs and a DVD player. We have streaming capabilities on the smart TVs, if you have a personal streaming account and login information.
The master suite has a king bed, large closet space, a whirlpool bath and separate shower.
The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a full bed in the pull out couch. The second bathroom has a full-sized washer and dryer.
The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare family meals. It features electric appliances, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker.

Summary: This cottage is in a perfect location. Close to town, hiking trails, and the grocery store. We came up to visit family who own a cabin in the Highlands. It was less than a mile from them. The cottage has everything you need and is super clean and cozy. We had a family of deer coming through the yard every morning. So sweet. The property owners called us and welcomed us on the phone when we arrived. Everything was very clear of what to do for opening and closing the home. I highly recommend this property !

Summary: All good, except property mgr didn’t know we were coming and one bed not made and some things didn’t get stocked. Also no basic tv connection so that had to be accessed thru YouTube for Saturday football games.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at Maple Cottage! The house was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. It was a very short drive (6 minutes) to Main Street in Highlands and also to the grocery store. The house had everything we needed to make meals at home while the quick access to town made it fun to pop in for a meal, ice cream at Kilwyns, or to stroll around the weekend farmers market at Hutchinson Park. The owner (Sheri) was an excellent communicator letting us know via text message that she was available to answer any of our questions if needed.
